South Australian capital of Adelaide has no Opera House. Adelaide has no Harbour Bridge of Sydney. Adelaide has no skyscrapers like in Melbourne. Adelaide has no Gold Coast. And finally Adelaide City is not overlooking sea and Freemantle Doctor is not present unlike in Perth.
Yet, Adelaide is Australia’s best kept secret. Anyone who may have lived in other cities of Australia will testify the people of Adelaide or South Australia are different to most Australians in other States. They are very kind and understand compassion, even though they are not Buddhists. The city’s main attractions apart from the University of Adelaide and University of South Australia, includes the world’s most picturesque cricket ground, The Oval.
The Sri Lankan Legend Mahela Jayawardene, representing the Adelaide Team, known as Adelaide Strikers, illuminated the Adelaide Cricket Ground today in a sparkling manner. Usually come into bat at the first drop, today he was promoted to open. With 37 balls faced, Mahela scored 57 runs, including 2 towering sixes.
On the Big Bash Ladder, Mahela has put his team Adelaide Strikers to the top.
We hope the cricketing legends like Mahela, Kumar etc will continue to bring positive image for Sri Lanka and the game of cricket.

Yes. Just keep playing cricket what you are ONLY capable of but don’t play with Sinhala culture that they don’t have respect for it.

Mahela is at 17th postion of th Big Bash Ladder with a mere average of 27.
Sangakkara is further down at 29th position with an average of less than 16.
If you comapre with the No.1 on the ladder Lynn , average is 101.
Yet these two Ministers of the Crab Parliament have illuminated te heart of MDP Dissanayake, a man living in a dream world.
To me , I am more intersted in Dhanushka Gunatilake and Milinda Siriwardane who are illuminating the whole of New Zealand and have given hope to 20 million Sri Lankans.
