This is my true experience. In 1996 I had a watcher who took sudden leave for a week, without giving any reason. After one month he ask suddenly 1/2 day leave. Next day when he came back I ask reasons for these two sudden leave. This was his reply. “Sir last month my eldest son in Army was killed in action and brought the body home & took leave for the funeral. Yesterday my younger son came to Colombo for a interview to joined the Army”. So I asked him why younger son want to join the Army knowing elder brother died last month in action. Yes sir younger son want to join the Army to complete “what elder son could not completed”. For the emotion my eyes filled with teas. In 2010 this young son who is an Army Officer now came to see me proudly with the father after completing what ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මැතිතුමා explained in his speech. Thank you ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මැතිතුමා may Triple Gen protect you.

Unfortunately, our politicians have no principles and have been bought by money, gifts of cars etc. What you and the Tri forces underwent to remove the LTTE which was like a cancer in our beloved Motherland, was immense sacrifice and effort. More than the Sinhalese the Tamil people benefited so much. Yet in this Kali Yuga everything is upside down and just are not given their due place.
As dreamt by King Kosala almost 2500 years ago where he saw jackals urinating in golden chalices in the palace, that is what we see now in the Yahapalanaya Govt. As told by the Lord Buddha to the King when he assured the King that all this will come to pass far in the future, this is that time. As you say, a day will come when the people will turn. Already the MPs who joined the National Govt cannot go back to their areas to meet the people without being booed. The rogue queen cannot get on a stage without getting booed. We saw from the crowds that attended the Joint Opposition meetings during May day that the people with President Mahinda Rajapaksa and you still there more than ever. Let us hope the day when truth comes out is not too far away. May the Triple Gem Bless protect and keep you, the Rajapaksa family and the Tri Forces safe.
