Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa told this to the electronic media and the print media in the run-up to the 2015 Presidential elections that Dr. Rajitha Seneratne was the biggest thief in the Mahinda government. The origin of the word Panic – king” is traced back to 1595 -1605 in the Greek and French vocabulary – the meaning being: a sudden overwhelming fear, with or without cause that produces hysterical or irrational behavior”. The recent statements made by President Maithripala Sirisena that stern action will be taken against even Ministers in the Yahapalana government” and the public outcry made by the ordinary masses and the civil society groups to bring these political thieves before the Rule-of-Law” and be punished has created panique” (French) in many of the ministers and parliamentarians who were in the Mahinda government before January 8th., 2015 and now holding portforlios in the Yahapalana government”. The media has experienced that some of these culprits have been summoned more than once by the FCID, CIABOC, Bribery Commission, Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, state Resources and Privileges during the period commencing from 10th January 2010 and ending on 10th January 2015, since the formation of the Yahapalana government” and they have dared to appear before these democratic institutions to answer the allegation made against them.
In order to throw a smoke screen” over these allegations/inquiries, eleven (11) in all, it has been alleged that Minister Rajitha Seneratne has being using various media methods as the Government Media Spokesman” to distract the media and the authorities to cover-up/sweep under the carpet the complaints and allegations that are in the agenda for inquiry/probing from being brought to the forefront. Minister Rajitha Seneratne was scared that the corruption skeletons” hidden in his cupboard will be found out by the Yahapalana government” yet he being some one who was one of the master minds of thr R2R campaign against the Mahinda Rajapaksa regime.
It is in these circumstances that the Sunday Leader journalist Camelia Nathaniel had all the “guts” to bring out the whole story out of this “two faced” deceptive politician – http://www.lankaweb.com/news/items/2016/05/23/rajitha-off-the-hook-in-fishy-deals/
During the time he was with Mahinda government and was making many trips to Norway. There was a feeling that there is something surprising was happening, because Mahinda government was vehemently opposed to some of the actions (international moves) taken by the Norwegian government and also the involvement of the Norwegian diplomats dabbling in our local affairs and politics and how come a prominent Mahinda Rajapaksa minister was doing this. But come the presidential elections and the pre-election activities, it is now revealed that Rajitha Seneratne’s visits to Norway was to facilitate the R2R Regime change project by the international community who were opposed to Mahinda (UPFA) ruling Sri Lanka. Rajitha’s son, now an MP of the UNP had clearly explained the CONSPIRACY to the media lately. HE. President Maithripala Sirisena and PM Ranil Wickremasinghe should be vigilant about this father and son political conspirators, because if they will pursue corruption charges on the frauds and corruptions reported above, he may try to topple (CHANGE) the Yahapalana government too. This is the trump this treacherous politician who robbed the Government Hospital (Dental Division) for around Rs. 450,000/= and when was removed from his parliament seat cuddled UNP leader Ranil and got a nominated MP post to parliament .The name sited as Dr N.H.R.H. Senaratne, NIC number 501501760 V, who deposited RS 7,500,000 is none other than Dentist and MP Rajitha Seneratne in the Golden Key Company frauds. Much was highlighted in the media then. This is in a court case concerning the Golden Key Company taken up in January 2013. This information has been extracted from Watawala report. In another case against this UNSCULPROUS politician, representing former Deputy Minister of Justice Dilan Perera, Wijeydasa Rajapashke in 1999 petitioned the Court of Appeal insisting that Dr. Rajitha Senaratne who at the time was an opposition Member of Parliament had no right to hold office as MP and sit or vote in parliament. The argument was that Senaratne had been engaged in business with a government institution while holding office as MP. As a result, on March 31, 2000 the Court of Appeal held that Dr. Rajitha Senaratne had no right to hold office as a member of parliament. Article 91 (1) (e) of Sri Lanka’s present constitution states that “no person shall be qualified to be elected as a member of parliament or to sit and vote in Parliament” and section (1) (e) of that Article says “if he has any such interest in any such contract made by or on behalf of the state or a public corporation as parliament shall by law prescribe.” The Court of Appeal at the time it made its ruling in the Senaratne case, also held that it was manifestly clear that the first respondent, Rajitha Senaratne had entered into a contract with a government department or a government institution during his tenure of office as MP and that therefore he has disqualified himself to be an MP. The accusation against Dr. Senaratne at the time was that he had solicited and been awarded contracts to supply medical equipment to the Health Ministry during his tenure as a sitting member of parliament. But the worst in support of Mahinda Rajapaksa and against Rajitha Seneratne comes out now as RUMOURS, that Rajitha Seneratne during his tenure of being Minister of Fisheries has been soliciting large amounts of payments from each exporter to allocate special licenses for the export of BECHE-DE-ME or SEA CUCUMBER from Sri Lanka during a time and even now, it was a prohibited marine life. Many BECHE-DE-ME or SEA CUCUMBER modalities in the Mannar district, Northern peninsular and even down south will vouch for this corruption.
It is suspected now, that Minister Rajitha Seneratne, in order to maintain a continuous distraction of the allegations against him has sensationalized to the media FALSE NEWS stories of corruption pertaining to the Rajapaksa family, the Port city project and Chinese issues, the Mattala Airport and the Hambantota habour project, the Avant Garde scandal, the misappropriation of the drug issues in the Ministry of Health, the Kidney sales rackets in leading private hospitals and doctors of the GMOA and other stories that had been told to the media at the government press conferences every week. But the recent story Minister Rajitah Seneratne has told about the AAVAA GROUP” and challenged by former Secretary of Defence Gotabaya Rajapaksa as FALSE, can be due to the paniky” situation the Minsiter is placed due to the fact that the Yahapalana government” cannot save him from the allegations against the Minister in the out come of the Cenrtal Bank Bond scam, where former Governer and a close ally of the Yahapalana government” has been found by COPE as the main culprit in this scandal of stealing the government of Rs. 14,000 million. Is Minister Rajitha Seneratne a prisoner of his own conscience?
It is rumoured that the Minister would have approached the “Joint Opposition” to extend him patronage in finding a resolution to his problems in the event of a possible change of government, that the JO is calling for and has been rejected, a PANIKING” situation that Gotabaya Rajapaksa is being threatened with such allegations. A dedicated former government, honest and disciplined administrator and a PATRIOT”, Gotabaya Rajapaksa cannot be harmed by a THIEF” and a POLITICAL CHAMELEON”.

The platform used by the Yahapalanaya crooks to come to power was corruption allegations against Mahinda Rajapaksa and his family. But so far nothing is proven against the Rajapaksas. But as soon as this government came in to power so many blatant corrupt deals have taken pace, with the involvement of the PM and his top ministers and various attempts to cover them up. But unfortunately the president is powerless to act as he too was involved in dirty deals to become the president and also covering up his son’s thuggish behaviour.

Yes, Ranil Wickramasinghe must resign immediately. This is the honourable thing to do. The country should be run by a PM who holds the confidence of most people. This is very important. Someone else who holds the confidence of the people should be appointed the PM by President Sirisena. Besides, Arjunan Mahendran did say the PM, meaning Ranil, asked him to do it. Therefore he should resign immediately which is the honourable thing to do and let any investigations take place without any interference. In other countries, this is what happens after this type of incident. So it is not at all unique.
