මෙරට දෙමළ ජාතිවාදය ඇති කෙළේ ලන්දේසීන් බව අප පුන පුනා කියනවා. ඒ දුම්කොළ වගාව සඳහා වෙල්ලාලයන් කෝරමණ්ඩල වෙරළෙන් යාපනයට ගෙන ඒමෙන්. එය සිදුවූයේ එක්දහස් හයසිය පනහෙන් පසු. යාපනයේ වෙල්ලාලයන්ගේ ඉතිහාසය අවුරුදු තුන්සිය පනහකට වැඩි නැහැ. අනාදිමත් කාලයක සිට මෙරට දෙමළ ජනයා සිටියේ යැයි කියන විග්නේස්වරන්ගේ ඉතිහාසයත් අවුරුදු තුන්සිය පනහක් නැහැ. විශ්වවිද්‍යාලවල ඉන්න ඉතිහාසඥයන් යැයි කියන ඉතිහාස අඥානයන්ට යාපනයට ගොස් තෝම්බු පරීක්‍ෂා කර මේ බව දැනගත හැකියි. විග්නේස්වරන් විතරක් නොවෙයි ඔහුගේ ඥාතීන් වූ අරුණාශලම්, රාමනාදන් ආදීන්ගේ ඉතිහාසයත් එබඳුයි. එහෙත් සිංහලයන්ටත් කොපමණ කිවුවත් ඒ ගැන හැඟීමක් නැහැ. ඔවුන් සිතන්නේත් වෙල්ලාලයන් සේන ගුත්තික එළාර කාලවල සිට මෙරට සිටින බවයි.
ලන්දේසීන් එසේ ගෙනා වෙල්ලාලයන්ට ඉංගිරිසින් වරප්‍රසාද දුන්නා. එක්සත් රාජ්‍යවලින් පැමිණි මිෂනාරීන් ඔවුන්ට ඉංගිරිසි අධ්‍යාපනයක් ලබා දුන්නා. මේ වෙල්ලාලයන්ගෙන් ඇතැමකු ඈංග්ලිකන් වැළඳ ගෙන තව තවත් තාන්න මාන්න ලබාගත්තා. ඇතැමුන් මෙතෝදිස්ත ක්‍රිස්තියානිය වුණා. මෙතෝදිස්තයන් රටේ අනෙක් තැන්වලත් බොහෝ විට ඇංග්ලිකන් ක්‍රිස්තියානින්ට සහාය දුන්නා. පාණදුරා වාදයටත් ආසන්න හේතුවක් වී ඇත්තේ මෙතෝදිස්ත අයකු බුදුදහමට විරුද්ධව කළ ප්‍රකාශයක්.
ඉංගිරිසින් සිංහලයන්ට විරුද්ධව වෙල්ලාලයන් යොදා ගත්තා. විශේෂයෙන් ම වෙල්ලාල ක්‍රිස්තියානින් ඒ සඳහා යොදා ගත්තා. විග්නේස්වරන්ලාගේ පවුල්වල ආදි කතෘන් ක්‍රිස්තියානි. ඒ බව අද දෙමළ සාමාන්‍ය ජනයා දන්නේත් නැහැ. ඉංගිරිසි කතා කළ සිංහලයන් අතරත් වැඩියෙන් වරප්‍රසාද ලැබුණේ ඇංග්ලිකන් ක්‍රිස්තියානින්ට. බණ්ඩාරනායකලා, ජයවර්ධනලා පමණක් නොව මීරිගම බෝතලේ සේනානායකලාත් ඈංග්ලිකන් ක්‍රිස්තියානි. රනිල්ගේ පියාත් ඇංග්ලිකන් ක්‍රිස්තියානි. ඔහුගේ බාප්පා ඇංග්ලිකන් ක්‍රිස්තියානි බිෂොප්වරයෙක්. එපමණක් නොව ඔහුගේ මවු පාර්ශ්වයේ හෙලේනා විජේවර්ධනලාත් මුල දී ඇංග්ලිකන් ක්‍රිස්තියානි. ඇය ඩෙප් විජේවර්ධන කෙනෙක්. වත්මන් අගවිනිසුරු ඩෙප්ගේ ඥාතියෙක්. විජේවර්ධනලා පසුව කැලණි විහාරයේ ප්‍රධාන දායක පවුල වුණා. රනිල්ට මෙන් ම ජේ ආර්ටත් කැලණිය සමග සම්බන්ධකම් සේදවත්තෙන් තිබෙනවා. ඔවුන්ට සේදවත්ත ලැබුණේ කාගෙන් ද?
රාමනාදන්ලාත් සේනානායකලාත් පිළිවෙළින් හින්දු හා බෞද්ධ වුණා. ඒ මුල දී දේශපාලන වාසියට. ජනතාව අතර දේශපාලනයට එය වැදගත් වුණා. චෙල්වනායගම් නම් හින්දු වුණේ නැහැ. ඔහු දකුණු ඉන්දියානු පල්ලියේ ඇංග්ලිකන් ක්‍රිස්තියානි බැතිමතකු ලෙස දිගට ම ජීවත් වුණා. සුමන්තිරන් තවමත් මෙතෝදිස්ත භක්තිකයෙක්. ඔහුගේ නම ඒබ්‍රහම්. ඒ පරණ තෙස්තමේන්තුවේ නමක්. කොහොමටත් දෙමළ ජනයා සිංහලයන් තරමට නායක කාරකාදීන්ගේ ආගම ගැන සැලකිලිමත් වන්නේ නැහැ. එයටත් හේතුව ඔවුන්ට මෙරට දීර්ඝ ඉතිහාසයක් නොමැති කම. සිංහල බෞද්ධ ඉතිහාසය අඩුම තරමෙන් අවුරුදු දෙදහස් තුන්සියයකට වැඩියි. මෙරට රජවරුන් බෞද්ධයන් පමණක් නොව බෝසතුන් විය යුතුය යන අදහසක් මුල් බැස ගෙන තිබුණා. අපට අග්බෝ (අග්‍රබෝධි) රජවරුන් ම රාශියක් සිටියා. අවසානයේ දී තෙළිඟු සම්භවයක් තිබූ නායක්කාර් වාංශික රජවරු ද බෞද්ධ වුණා. බෞද්ධ නොවී ඔවුන්ට රජකම ලැබීමට නොහැකි වුණා. 1815 ගිවිසූුමෙන් ද ඉංගිරිසින් සිංහල බුද්ධාගම (බුද්ධාගම හා දේවාගම) රකින බවට පොරොන්දු වුණා. රනිල්ටත් බෞද්ධකම ගැන කතාකරන්න වෙනවා.
අදත් ව්‍යවස්ථාවේ බුද්ධාගමට ප්‍රමුඛස්ථානය ලබා දීම ගැන සිංහල බෞද්ධයන් වෙහෙසෙන්නේ මේ ඉතිහාසයට අනුව. අද එයට විරුද්ධ වන්නේ දෙමළ ජාතිවාදීන් හා සිංහල කම නැති ව්‍යාජ පංති හැඟීමකින් කටයුතු කරන පුහු පඬියන්. මේ පඬියන්ට නම් ඇත්තේ දරුණු හීනමානයක්. ඔවුන් යටත්විජිතවාදය ලෙස සලකන්නේ සිංහල බෞද්ධ සංස්කෘතිය. ඔවුන් බටහිර යුදෙවු ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංස්කෘතියේ දීන දාසයන් පමණයි. ඔවුන් ලබා ඇති අධ්‍යාපනය මුළුමනින් ම ඇංග්ලිකන් ක්‍රිස්තියානි. ඔවුන් මෙහෙයවනු ලබන්නේ මේ දීන අධ්‍යාපනයෙන්. කෞතුකාගාර සත්වෝද්‍යාන ආදිය අපට ලැබුණේ ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංස්කෘතියෙන්. නුවර පෙරහැරේ අලි ඇතුන් ගෙන යෑමට විරුද්ධ වන ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංස්කෘතියේ පඬියන් සත්වෝද්‍යානවල අලි දම්වැලින් බැඳ තැබීම ගැනවත් එහි සතුන් කූඩු කර තැබීම ගැනවත් විරුද්ධ වන්නේ නැහැ. පඬියන් පළමුව කළ යුත්තේ සත්වෝද්‍යාන නැති කර එහි සතුන් කැලයට මුදා හැරීමට කටයුතු කිරීමයි.
කෞතුකාගාර අපේ නොවෙයි. අපට ඇත්තේ කෞතුක ඉතිහාසයක් නොව ජීවමාන ඉතිහාසයක්. ඒ වුනත් අපට කෞතුකාගාරය අපේ සංස්කෘතියට උරා ගැනීමට (අවශෝෂණය කිරීමට) පුළුවන්. එහෙත් ඒ වෙනුවට කරන්නේ එය ඇංග්ලිකන් ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංස්කෘතිය අනුව යමින් ඊනියා සංදර්ශන පැවැත්වීම සඳහා විකිණීම. ඇංග්ලිකන් ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංස්කෘතියේ මෙරට ප්‍රධාන නියෝජිතයා වූ රනිල් අද ඔහුගේ වෙළෙඳ සංස්කෘතිය අනුව කෞතුකාගාරය සංදර්ශන සඳහා විකුණන්න හදනවා. ඔහු එය කරන්නේ කෞතුකාගාර කමිටුවේ තීරණයට විරුද්ධව. රනිල්ගේ ව්‍යාජ ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදය ඒකයි. ඊනියා ස්වාධීන කමිටු තියෙන්නේ අගමැතිගෙ අදහස් ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමට. ඒ තමයි ඇංග්ලිකන් ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංස්කෘතියේ බොරු ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදය. අද ට්‍රම්ප් කරමින් සිටින්නේ එක් අතකින් මේ ව්‍යාජ ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදයේ සළු පිළි ගළවා එය නිරුවත් කිරීම. තාමත් අප පාලනය කරන ඇංග්ලිකන් ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංස්කෘතිය පරාජය කරන තෙක් අපට නිදහසක් නැහැ. මෙරට සිටින කසිකබල් පඬියන් ඒ සංස්කෘතිය ආරක්‍ෂා කරනවා. ඒත් අංග්ලිකන් ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංස්කෘතියේ ප්‍රධානීන් මේ පඬියන් තුට්ටුවකට (පැන්සයකට) ගණන් ගන්නේ නැහැ. ඇංග්ලිකන් ක්‍රිස්තියානි සංස්කෘතියේ සිංහල මෙන් ම දෙමළ අය එකතු වී සිංහල බෞද්ධයන් පාගනවා.

In Sri Lanka, there was no real Independence after 1945, or after the 1978 Constitution, was there ?
We vote, but Big Powers/local Agents rule and cause endless disharmony in Lanka.
As Sri Lanka is a small island, 25,000 sq miles in size, this is a dismal situation. If Lanka were a large country, some leeway may have been given to absorb foreigners, but not in this small country.
Those who do not see the situation well enough and act to protect the local citizens, ought not to come forward to rule the country.

Dutch brought in Vellars from Malabar coast not as slaves but as Coolie Farmers and they were given land to cultivate Tobacco.
The British brought Vellars from the Malabar Coast as administrators to replace the Dutch Administration. British administered Dutch possessions from Madras 1792-96.
The Sinhalese rebelled against these Indian Colonial Parasites because they imposed taxes on coconut trees and dogs, and the British replaced the Dutch Administration and administered from Colombo.
Some of these Vellars peons return to India and others settled in Jaffna. The Sinhalese rebelled against these Indian Colonial Parasites and were successful due to lack of roads. So British started to build roads with Indian Coolies (Pare VAdakarana Demalu, PWD) that were brought in and who came voluntarily.
Most of us only knows the History told by Indian Colonial Parasites.

Now that we have an all Vellala Caste Tamil people (earlier brought in from the Coromondhal Coast by the Dutch & British as indentured labor to Lanka), in Lanka, we can all go home and get some well earned rest !

A little research on the net shows that the ISAI Vellalar people were Musicians/Dance/Arts folk, and were a a sub-sect of the Vallalar Caste people (Agrarian). They were considered low caste and definitely lower to the Vellalar Caste people of the SE Indian region.
Were over a million and half ISAI Vellalar people brought into Lanka as indentured labor ?
If so, where is their past livelhood as Musicians/Dance/Arts folk and why did they come to toil in a strange country as indentured labor in the Colonial Plantations sector ?
Not even a hint is shown to us in Lanka as to their past in the Music/Dance/Arts, isn’t it ? This is strange.
Can someone clarify all this for us ?
