I was quite surprised to read the article by DBSJ about Chistian Bashing !
I know many Christians and Muslims who live in Harmony in Sri Lanka.
I also followed the reaction from the minister where he stated that this lawyer should be struck off from the registry lawyers for making such statements
Then the news item says that THE LAWYER has fled the country .
NGO’s who fund such scrupulous Human Right Lawyers may have promised him political refugee status in a western country?
Let him run away
We will find a way out to create a society with harmony among all like in Singapore .
This is why I keep advocating that we need the President to be firm in these instances and use his executive powers to stop these nonsense
If a minister is misbehaving like the ones in Wilpattu creating an impression among majority that his actions tantamount to religious –expansion ,he should also be kicked out .
Let Cardinal gives speech in TV in the same podium with Nayake Theros and Muslim Leaders and state that we are a one country one society with equal rights.
I as a Buddhist can vouch that there is harmony .It is BBS and some extreme politicians and these Human Right Lawyers are trying to create the rift to destabilize the country .
( I was approached by a Sinhalese living the Thihariya which a a predominantly muslim stronghold to donate a 10 feet Buddhist statue to be placed in the town to show Muslims that Buddhist are united in the area .I kicked him out of my house !)

If only we can SOMEHOW get the Yamapalanaya HEAD HONCHOS to FLEE in the footsteps of Lakshan Dias!
Or, will they HANG ON until BASTILLE DAY when it would be TOO LATE?
They have BUNGLED EVERYTHING ELSE, why wouldn’t these BANKROBBERS BUNGLE the GETAWAY too?

You should have offered to BUILD a 10-foot high PEDESTAL to place the 10-foot Buddha statue, that man brought!
I’ll let you come up with 10-good REASONS why that would have been the CORRECT thing for you to do, instead of chasing him out of your house!

As Ethnic Conflicts have run their gamut in Lanka, attempts are being made to bring in Religious Conflicts ?
Why ?
Because the desired results have yet to manifest for those who are NOT PATRIOTIC ?
