LAUNCH OF THE NEW SUTTA CENTRAL.NET WEBSITE
Posted on June 2nd, 2018

We are excited to announce the launch of the new Suttacentral.net website, presenting new translations of the four Pali Nikayas in plain English.

Australian monk Sujato Bhikkhu has spent the last two years in retreat on a remote Taiwanese island, completing new translations of the Buddha’s teachings. These renditions are the first accurate and complete translations of the 4 Nikayas that are freely available online.

Many Buddhists around the world don’t have access to the Buddha’s Teachings, but Sutta Central is changing this by making these canonical texts freely available online, to anyone, anywhere.

Using easy to understand language and free from copyright, these new translations make it easy to share and spread the Buddha’s teachings.
