If you have in yourself even an iota of Sinhala blood or have the slightest patriotism for your motherland Sri Lanka, please listen to this brave soldier lamenting about what the traitors amongst us are doing to our motherland – the only land of the Sinhala people!
And once you listen to it, please share it with other Sinhala people so that they will all realize what the traitors and enemies of Sri Lanka are doing to disintegrate and destroy the Sinhala nation and pave way to totally eradicate the Sinhala race in the not too far future!

Major General Kamal Gunarathne starts and ends Chapter I of his book of war memories ROAD to NANDIKADAL (2016) with the following four lines from a Sinhala song which, he says, are deeply etched in his mind (His own English translations are given in parentheses).
Awasan husma poda nobiyawa helannata
(To fearlessly breathe my last breath)
Siwu riyane hitha sathutin nidannata
(And to rest in peace, with a serene mind)
Minisaku wilasa ipaduna pala dakinnata
(Having fulfilled my obligations as a man)
Puluwani marana manchakaye uwada mata

A very touching speech. Food for thought. Yahapalanaya govt is working to please the Eelamists and the west.Not surprising because people like Ranil are not patriotic.
