I fully agree with Ananda in every word of his comment. Go for general election and organise a massive rally in support of the new government. This tie coat gay bastard must be arrested at once for treason and put behind bars along side with his Royal gang. What a shame for him to lick the asses of the white hypocrites? This guy and that bandit queen both should be banished from the country for treason. They are both poison to our motherland. All those NGO’s who supports them should be kicked out immediately. All sri Lankans must unite at this hour to get rid of this dirty bunch of characters. Our enemies are strong therefore we need to keep our eyes open and stay vigil in case of emergency. I do not think there is a necessity for a vote count as it is not a Constitutional necessity. But the parliament can elect a new Speaker, and continue the Parliamentary Sessions normally.

There is NO NECESSITY for a vote count? Says WHO?
1. At FACE VALUE, the UNP has a NECESSITY for a VOTE COUNT to recover its lost power. The Governing party usually does not INITIATE a VOTE COUN; only the party out of power does it.
The UNP has TWO methods of TRIGGERING a VOTE COUNT. FIRST, it can submit a NO-CONFIDENCE MOTION against PM Mahinda Rajapaksa. SECOND, it can DEFEAT the pending Budget Bill through a VOTE COUNT. On FACE VALUE, the Govt will FALL if it FAILS to show a MAJORITY in the VOTE COUNT.
2. But, WILL IT really? The UNP can fall from the FRYING PAN into the FIRE with a VOTE COUNT at this time because, a VOTE COUNT WIN by the UNP, will FORCE President Sirisena to DISSOLVE the Parliament, and CALL FOR a NEW GENERAL ELECTION within 3 months, well ahead of the scheduled time for the NEXT GENERAL ELECTION.
That is a HUGE PROBLEM for the UNP, because, given its UNPOPULARITY among VOTERS, it will LOSE DISASTROUSLY, perhaps losing more than HALF of its current MP seats in Parliament.
Therefore, we must PONDER whether it is BETTER for the UNP to AVOID TRIGGERING A VOTE COUNT in order to HANG ON to its current MP seats in Parliament at least until the NEXT regularly scheduled GENERAL ELECTION.
FORCING the UNP to TRIGGER a VOTE COUNT resulting in DISSOLUTION of the Parliament and calling for an EARLY GENERAL ELECTION may be the REAL STRATEGY of Mahinda Rajapaksa!
I REJOICE in that the PARA-GATHI UNP is in DIRE trouble: it is DAMNED if it TRIGGERS a VOTE COUNT and WINS, and DAMNED if it TRIGGERS a VOTE COUNT and LOSES!
That maybe why it CONTINUES to use the current opportunity to DESTABILIZE the NATION and TREASONOUSLY PLEAD for FOREIGN INTERVENTION … the LAST HOPE of this PARA-GATHI DESHADROHI PUPPET kalliya!

Ranil should be kept under house arrest until the crimes committed by him are investigated. If he is allowed to abroad he will go and create immense mischieve against the country by getting together with the Western powers and organizing another regime change like what happened in 2015. The country was doing so well at that time when these powers engineered a regime change and toppled MR. We all know what happened in the last three and a half years. Please do not let it happen again.

In January 2015 when he got My3 to appoint him as the Prime Minister when there was an existing cabinet, parliament and Prime Minister it was a completely illegal act but it was o.k for the West. No one said a word against that illegal action by My3. This is NOT Democracy!
The first thing RW did when he came in was to take the Ministry of Finance under him and appoint a person of dubious reputation, R. Paskaralingam, as the head. He then appointed a non-citizen of Lanka, Arjun Mahendran, as head of the Central Bank, and the rest is history how this trio played out the Sri Lanka people.

Ranils uncle Bishop Laxman Wickramasinghe is one of the proponents of Eelam. His father together with the WIjewardhana’s were instrumental in denying the Sinhala Buddhists their due place in Sri Lanka.

Agree with ALL that is said above regarding the mindset of RanilW regarding this nation and his utter lack of a sense of patriotism or responsibility regarding the Future of this country. He has made a blunder through his lust for power by hook or by “CROOK”, and he is now even going further through his attempts to use the West to rescue him by undemocratic means. The West, despite their love fest with RW has refrained from committing an utter blunder by trying to bring down a DEMOCRATIC NATION that despite a minority THAT USED TERRORISM to hold their own people hostage in a HUMAN SHIELD,, is now trying to use its Millions/Billions of USD and other Western currencies to coerce cooperation from the WEST. The Paskeralingam/Mahendran combine has operated the coffers since and it is more than likely that the beans will be spilled quite soon and all of their loot will be collected by the West, SOONER or LATER.. This is the general Scenario….the West will use them and dump them, and these guys do not know it because of their utter ARROGANCE.
RW will try his best now to incite the masses, and just as he got ArjunaRanatunga to retrieve files illegally, and in the ensuing melee, have their OWN Security man kill asecurity officer and flash it everywhere in the international media blaming it on the NEW leadersship. This has been their standard practice over the last so many years, in Alutgama, Rathupaswela and in Digana. If he succeeds in inciting the people into the “Blood bath” that he so wants and would revel in, as he has demonstrated during the Batalanda investigations, it will be the end of his political career as he will have exceeded Prabhakaran as the enemy of the State. He and his followers cannot be oblivious of the fact that the Western Powers are wise enough to know that they cannot invade a democratic country like Sri Lanka and try to do what they have done to Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and Yemen.
