For more than three decades Sri Lanka suffered its most bitter experience of instability as a nation thank to its closest neighbour India. Today it is a proved fact that the main hidden strong hand behind the LTTE terrorism was the staunch and powerful help to the terrorists by that dangerous country. Indira Gandhi had incepted the terrorism idea to Sri Lankan Tamil political leaders in the late sixties and planted the seed of separatism into their mind simply because then Sri Lankan (then Ceylon) economy and the living standard were par over humongous India.

Then by the orders of Indira, Indian forces trained, financed and helped LTTE terrorists to fight against Sri Lankan government forces having numerous training bases in India. Ultimately her son Rajiv Gandhi who had donated his own personal bullet proof vest also to Velupillai Prabhakaran by himself had to sacrifice his own life because of the same Prabhakaran’s suicide bomber. It is also mention worthy here that Indian intelligent services finally helped Sri Lankan authorities to curb terrorism.

Today when Sri Lanka is capable of standing straight and up because of the ingenuous and brave handling of the terrorism by Mahinda Rajapaksa and Gotabaya Rajapaksa, then Sri Lankan President and Secretary of Defense respectively, India is suggesting that Sri Lanka should fully implement the 13^th constitutional amendment. If they are concerned only about the votes of Tamil Nadu people, they should also adopt all Tamils who are living in Sri Lanka also in to their country. Average Tamil people living in Sri Lanka do not want a separate state in Sri Lanka but willing to live with other races with harmony.

Enough is enough India. You are no longer welcomed in Sri Lanka to advise on how to govern the country and it is not the weak JRJ or Ranil’s regimes anymore. JRJ did not have any backbone to safeguard the country and drafted the 13^th constitutional amendment which brought the Provincial councils and many other unnecessary burdens to Sri Lanka. Ranil was willing to sell even the whole country Sri Lanka to India or any other country just to save his premiership.

Today Sri Lanka has been rewarded by its intelligent people with the best leader to run the country with a smart government. President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and his team can never be intimidated by India or any other country.

Sri Lankan present policies would remain in the country for the next fifty years for sure.

The only good thing Sri Lanka ever got from India is Buddhism.
