Dayan-â„¢s tone is getting more desperate as years pass. His outrageous outbursts are not commensurate with what Sri Lanka has achieved and continues to achieve post-war. Interestingly it has more to do with Indian hegemonic concerns. The more the Indian hegemonic interests are under threat, the more desperate Dayan becomes. Apart from the stench of his bragging, he is up to something nastier that will pit the nation into the dangers of the New Great Game earning enemies than friends. His cunning tactics closely resemble the acts of spies in Buddhist folklore Ummagga Jataka. The only difference is that he is in the camp of the villains. That-â„¢s when his‚ ransom skills come handy.

Hijackers and Dayan

Terrorism started with hijacking passenger aircraft. These hijackers had no intention to cause bloodshed unless their demands were disregarded. They held people to ransom, terrorised governments and got rulers to heed their demands. These demands included releasing terrorists in custody, granting various appeasements to their ethnic group, granting political concessions to their ethnic group and other absurd demands.

A successful hijacking operation is one where the terrorists would get most of their demands at the least cost of lives of them. However, only a very few succeeded. In most cases governments used force and deceit despite suffering civilian casualties to defeat the plans of terrorists. After repeated failures, terrorists gave up plane hijacking as it yielded nothing.

Dayan is an expert in ransom, far better than Tamil terrorists who held 300,000 people as a human shield in the last stages of the war. Dayan holds the entire nation to ransom because the rulers trust and fear his threats.‚

Ummagga Jataka and Dayan

In the Jataka story a hegemonic army in India, much like the modern Indian hegemonic army, invades a smaller state. An advisor of the state is Mahausada who is endowed with exceptional intellectual acumen. Years before the actual invasion, he sends emissaries far and wide to all neighbouring nations. They were spies of Mahausada and over time win the confidence of their respective kings. When Mahausada-â„¢s tiny nation is cordoned off by a massive army of invaders, these spies who by then are the confidantes of the invaders mislead the invaders with outright lies.

They claim to know the target very well and get permission from their king to talk to the subjects of the target. They use tunnels to reach the target besieged nation, meet Mahausada, get instructions from him and get back to the invaders and feed them with misinformation. In one such event, the invaders disrupt the water supply to the besieged nation. The potential of this act would be catastrophic on the besieged nation. However, the spies tell the invaders that it will not have any impact because the besieged nation has plenty of water resources (an obvious lie). Believing these spies, the invaders give up their strategy.

Likewise all the potent strategies of the invaders are disrupted by these spies until they are left with self destructive ones. Thanks to the tunnels and other infrastructure and the spies, the besieged nation survives and defeats the invading armies.

Dayan plays the role of a spy as in the Jataka story but in his case for the support of the invaders, and against Sri Lanka. In 2009 after saving 300,000 civilians held hostage by Tamil terrorists, Sri Lanka was due for international recognition and accolades. However, at the UNHRC summit held that year, a resolution was brought against Sri Lanka. Instead of getting instructions from the Sri Lankan leadership, he approached the Indian leadership and drafted a counter-resolution. It totally betrayed Sri Lankan interests and ensured Indian interests. Like the kings who trusted Mahausada-â„¢s spies, Lankan leaders trusted Dayan. His resolution included full implementation of the separatist 13A and other matters highly detrimental to the nation.

Then came the promising situation of diluting 13A to prevent neo-LTTE TNA from getting police and land powers through 13A. Dayan went into hyperactivity threatening an imminent Indian invasion if Sri Lanka diluted 13A. However, India made no such threat directly. To add some muscle to his claim, Dayan pointed out how India was building a new air force base in the South Indian military base in Thanjavur where Russian Sukhoi Su-30 super-manoeuvrable fighter aircraft will be deployed.

He also threatened that UNHRC will vote against Sri Lanka once again unless Sri Lanka surrenders its sovereignty, territorial integrity and the unitary status at the feet of the Indians. But by then Sri Lanka had lost twice at the UNHRC. A defeat by 1 vote or 47 votes does not make any difference. However, his threats worked again as Lankan rulers continue to trust him and were successfully extorted.

Supreme Court verdict on the Centre retaining land powers and provincial councils having no state land powers after the Northern Provincial Council election sent Dayan and his Indian hegemonic masters-â„¢ plan many years backward. He came up with another terror threat. Now he claims another Indian invasion unless the 13A is fully implemented and further dents are made‚ to Sri Lanka-â„¢s sovereignty, territorial integrity and the unitary status to satisfy India.

Reconciliation is a popular device used to tie down Sri Lanka from taking action against real war criminals and separatists.

Where Will This End?

If this process continues, Sri Lanka would have committed harakiri by offering its sovereignty, territorial integrity and the unitary status to Indian hegemonic agents which will turn the nation into another never-ending Israel-Palestine conflict. It will also include economic and cultural harakiri. Demilitarisation of the north which is facing an ever increasing Tamil nationalist-terrorist threat paves way for endangering the nation. In addition, war crimes investigation will be held which will be as biased as Navi Pillai. These biased war crimes investigations will spare the real war criminals but punish the perceived enemies of Indian and Western hegemony.

Following Dayan-â„¢s advice always leads to disaster. Today he is the hub of all anti-national forces on one side, Indian and Western hegemonic agents and Tamil nationalist-terrorists.

What Must Be Done?

Dayan-â„¢s threats must not be taken seriously. Identify the game plan he plays for Indian hegemonic agents since the 1970s and see him for what he truly is.‚ 13A must be put to an island-wide referendum. Sixth Amendment to the Constitution must be implemented in full without fear or favour.

Independent internal war crimes investigations must be carried out against all specific alleged war time excesses by security forces.

Most importantly, war crimes of Tamil groups including the LTTE, TNA, ITAK, TULF, PLOTE, BTF, WTC, etc. must be investigated. Instigating the commission of war crimes is also a war crime. Almost all Northern Tamil leaders have committed this war crime. All participants and all those who publicly endorse the 1976 Vadukodai Resolution which calls for Tamil youth to fight for a separate state must be investigated. Tamil terrorists and civilians responsible for the structural genocide of ethnic Sinhalese and Muslims in the Jaffna peninsular must also be identified and punished. Properties of over 20,000 Sinhalese and 50,000 Muslims were stolen by them and they refuse to hand these back.

War crimes investigations must also include probing the role played by the Tamil Diaspora, foreigners (including Adel Balasingham, Red Cross, Red Bana) and foreign agencies (including Research and Analysis wing of India), western and North Korean mercenaries and NGOs/INGOs in the commission, instigation and omission in relation to acts of war and crimes. Collection of money and supply of weapons to banned terrorist organisations amount to war crimes.

Only these bold moves can save the nation; not pandering into Dayan-â„¢s terrorist demands. It is absurd logic that one needs to kill the patient to cure him! Unfortunately this is what Dayan and his NGO bandwagon propose and what Lankan leaders follow. What needs to be killed is the separatist germ to save Sri Lanka from Indian and Tamil hegemonic frenzy.

DJ is a RAW agent. Everybody knows that.

Other countries that take national security seriously physically eliminate this type of threats. It is a SMALL price to pay for BIGGER returns.

What happens in SL is OVER-ANALYSIS but no action.
