TRAIN TRAGEDY AVERTED BY LEVEL CROSSING GATE-KEEPER, SHOULD BE HEAVILY REWARDED.

The Level Crossing Gate Keeper had closed his gates and was expecting an Express train to come from a certain Direction, when he noticed that there was another train coming from the Opposite Direction, on the same tracks. He immediately took a decision to hail or gesture to the Engine Driver, not to proceed but to stop the train. The Engine Driver took serious notice and brought his train to a halt. The other Express train Driver too, noticing a Train on the same tracks, in the opposite direction, engaged to bring his Train to a Halt. THE TWO ENGINES STOPPED WITHIN A DISTANCE OF ABOUT TEN FEET OF EACH OTHER. This should be truly International News.
The timely, spontaneous, decision taken by the Level Crossing Gate-Keeper, possibly saved the lives of at least a thousand people on both Trains, MIRACULOUSLY AVERTING a disastrous tragedy, of life and limb, which may have been THE BIGGEST TRAIN DISASTER OF OUR TIME. Both are Express Trains.
Serious decision making, and decision taking can come from such a simple man as the LEVEL CROSSING GATE-KEEPER. HE SHOULD BE GARLANDED FOR HIS BRAVE ACTION, AND SHOULD BE HEAVILY REWARDED. I believe that the President and Prime Minister would hear of this simple mans action, and respond positively.
