Sri Lankan PM to receive doctorate award

Sri Lanka’s prime minister is set to receive an honorary doctorate on the first day of his official visit to Australia.
Ranil Wickremesinghe and his wife Maithree Wickramasinghe arrived in Melbourne on Monday night.
The prime minister will be awarded an honorary doctorate in law at a graduation ceremony at Deakin University in Geelong on Tuesday.
The award recognises his efforts to help Sri Lanka transition from a country traumatised by protracted, violent conflict toward a stable democracy.
“”Mr Wickremesinghe has emphasised the need for reconciliation, whilst ensuring accountability, and enabled groups riven by conflict to find common ground in a more hopeful future,” a Deakin University spokeswoman told AAP.
He’ll also meet with Victorian Governor Linda Dessau.
In the afternoon Mr Wickremesinghe will head to Canberra for a reception with Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to commemorate 70 years of Australian-Sri Lankan diplomatic relations.
The pair will engage in a spot of cricket diplomacy later this week when Sri Lanka take on the Prime Minister’s XI team at Manuka Oval in Canberra.

All those who receive doctorates either write a thesis or make significant contribution to the field he served. Perhaps RW should write one on ‘The art of the DEAL’ in bond issue or the ‘The art of politics’ explaining how he remained leader of his party though he did not win in 27 consecutive elections.

Recipients of Honorary Doctorates do not use the title Dr. when referring to themselves.
I hope our PARA-GATHI AGA-MATHI Ranil Wikunanasinghe will not break that tradition and arrogant to himself an UNEARNED TITLE!

When a Honorary Doctorate is awarded to prop up a Pal Hora who is trying his darnest to dismantle the motherland of his own people, we know who is behind the award of this doctorate: Tamil EELAMISTS and other foreign neocolonialists trying to remake Sri Lanka in their own sullied image!
Ranil Wikunanasinghe may feel “honored” but we know that they are only trying to burnish the tarnished image of a Sri Lankan foreign puppet with an abominable history of engineering humanitarian, social, political and economic disasters for Sri Lankans!

Is Ranil being given a doctorate for torturing innocents at Batalanda which he is supposed to have done according to Police Sergent Karunaratna as described in “Sakkiya”? Ranil could have taught a thing or two to the CIA torturers at Guantanamo bay if these stories are an accurate reflection of his activities. The techniques Ranil is supposed to have developed are so gruesome I could not listen to the whole of it since I felt sick to the stomach. The Batalanda commission which investigated Batalanda recommended that Ranil’s civic rights be revoked. Yet Ranil managed to become the Prime Minister by creeping under My3’s sarong after Maru Sira won the Presidential election getting Sira to appoint Ranil as the PM when there was a PM and cabinet already in place which was completely illegal. Ranil then engineered the bond scam with his import from Singapore who was able to fill coffers of the bankrupt UNP part to the tune of Rs. 3 billion. This enabled the UNP to contest the General Election and win by a narrow margin. I guess since Australia is upside down in relation to the rest of the world Ranil’s masters in the West have asked Australia to do the dirty work and pay Ranil off before he retires by giving him an honorary doctorate.

Is this really true? Ended the conflict? Ushered in a Democracy? Wasnt Sri Lanka a democracy for decades?

Wasn’t it President Mahinda Rajapakse who ended the conflict in 2009 and intiated the transition from a violent conflict to a stable democracy free of terrorist acts such as random suicide and truck bombings, ended forcible recruitment of child terrorists(soldiers), created conditions for safe travelling to all corners of the nation, without the fear of being killed etc ? Wasn’t it Ranil and his camp that rediculed the armed forces when they were engaed in a life and death battle with the terrorists to end this brutal conflict?
Wasn’t it Mahinda Rajapakse that held regular democratic elections through out his period as the President of the country and set up elected Provincial Councils, Local Councils as well as Presidential elections which ultimately defeated him?
Wasn’t it Ranil Wickremasinghe who connived with the new President to be appointed as the Prime Minister from a minority party, though there was already a functioning Prime Minister from the Majority party? Is this democracy?
Isn’t it under Ranil’s Primership that the leader of the opposition in the parliament is from a party with less seats in the opposition, and compliant with government decisions, whilst the majority party in the opposition is ignored and not even receiving adequate time in the parliament to debate issues? Is this democracy?
Wasn’t it Ranil who appointed the FCID to operate under him and go on a witch hunt against opposition figures but ignore blatant financial irregularities committed by governing party members?
Isn’t it under Ranil that the grievances of the majority community, such as resettlement of sinhalese in their homelands ignored but addressing such issues of the minorities only.
Isn’t it under Ranil’s Prime Ministership that Local Council have been dissolved and new elections DELAYED indefinitely? Is this democracy?
Anyway this could fit into the lopsided democracy of the new world, where “democracy” is only a word, interpreted to suit the whims and fancies of the only super power in the world. So, maybe Ranil fits into the new world order and deserves this award.

Deakin an outpost of the Indian Empire is to offer a Doctorate to an a puppett of the Indian Empire. Hon PM of Sri Lanka (Ceylon) was voted in by the the Indian block vote of that country. I am sure one of the haeds of the Deakin Uni who is an Indian vermin from Manchester is intrumental in this project. Remeber Deakin was going to be the Info Uni of OZ with a massive IT investment by an Indian IT Moghul.
Now it is doing dirty work for the Indian Empire offering a Doc for a leading subject of the Indian Empire.
These are the signs that Australia will be the next Fiji of the Indian and Pacific Oceans.

You should have listened to Davasa(13/2/17) TV debate with Ashoka Abeygunawardhana and Ulapane Sumangala, Salakuna Hiru TV show with Yahapalanaya Justice and Buddha Sasana Minister Wijedasa Rajapakse, and Derana 360 with Ranjan Ramanayake to get a distate of what Yahapalanaya has given to Sri Lanka.

that university wanted free advertisement in Sri lanka. So, they offered a Honorary PhD to Ranil. That is what happened. Now, those students who wants to go to Australia for further studies know this university.

Deakin University in Geelong is Waterfront Campus was founded in 1994. It currently has 4330 students and 322 staff. City Geelong few hours drive away from the City of Melbourne. Main Deakin Uni Campus is in Burwood Highway few minutes away from City of Melbourne. Total number of students in all Deakin campus is 45,900. According to world University Ranking Deakin is in 355 place. In Australia Deakin rank as 17th place. Someone had manipulated the Deakin Uni with Ranil bio data to award this honorary doctorate. Let see what demonstration Ranil will get on 16th Thursday at the Federation Square near main Rail Station of Melbourne. If any of the Deakin Board member could visit Federation Square tomorrow they will remove his Phd instantly.

Deakin iin Australia has been under Indian influence since it started, One of the Senior lecturers in humanities was an Indian colonial parasite from Fiji. RW & Co have not learned the ‘ART OF THE DEAL’ yet. When Sri Lankan tries to play all kind of tricks with passengers using their ageing crew problems start crop up. I suppose they played a ‘Raw Deal’ on me on Flight No. UL 303 from Singapore to Colombo yesterday; I wont write the details. No wonder they got escorted by fighter jets from Heathrow to Stanstead few days ago.
