Please don’t detele this later. Keep it few years for people with IQ to see. Don’t delete my comment if you are a HUMAN.

What is the meaning of this අනාවැකිය ? How can Matara city council votes added to Jaffna city council votes and average found ?
ලංකාවෙබ් අනාවැකි in the past (including Dilrook’s) was WRONG. No one could predict UNP win in last general election. Instead of making adjustment to the mind you cannot predict correctly by adjusting numbers suit your Thanha. What is the reason of 9 % UNP votes gone to SLPP ? What did BR did better during last 3 years to attract UNP votes ? UNP voter might go to any other party but not BR party.

  2. Dilrook Says:

So either way SLFP of Sirisena will emerge the kingmaker. No party can claim overall victory without SLFP joining it.

LG bodies’ seat distribution will be different because the election follows two methods – overall LG body winner and then proportionate seat allocation. JVP is likely to win more than 3.7% island-wide.

  3. Ananda-USA Says:

Here is my prediction based SOLELY on my observation on the ground in Sri Lanka: The SLPP will win a massive victory routing both the UNP and the JVP.

While the UNP will suffer the most, The SLFP of Sirisena will suffer less than the UNP. As a percentage, the JVP will lose more than the SLFP of Sirisena, both being perceived as functional ALLIES of the much despised UNP despite the balleyhooed criticism by the JVP of the Yamapalanaya.

This election will herald a sea change in the mindset of the Sinhala Buddhist community, and will become a REFERENDUM on the Yamapalanaya.

The Sinhala Buddhist community will RALLY around the SLPP; they FEEL TREATENED who are FEARFUL of the fate of their Motherland. They are FED UP of the SLFP of ALL other parties that support the Yamapalanaya.

The minorities …. Tamils, Muslims, and Christians will vote as blocks for either the UNP or their communal parties, as they have done in the past. There will be NO CHANGE in their mindset or their communal voting patterns, but that will NOT BE SUFFICIENT to offset the RETURN HOME of the Sinhala Buddhists to the banner of Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Nevertheless, I agree with Dilrook, that Sirisena’s SLFP is likely to remain the KINGMAKER in Sri Lankan politics, because die-hard SLFPers are RELUCTANT to abandon the party that brought so-much positive change to Sri Lanka, even though it has now been HIJACKED by a new breed of GREEDY DESHADROHIS hellbent on making money at all costs at the expense of their Motherland.

Could I be WRONG? YES INDEED, I have WRONG before and maybe AGAIN, since I am not dispassionate and my own feelings colour my judgment.

However, I have acquired a lot of ground-level data speaking to a wide spectrum of both critics and supporters of the Yamapalanaya. Yamapalanaya supporters are a very rare breed these days and have gone into hiding to shed their skins and emerge as born-again patriots after the elections!

I am with Ananda. His prediction is the correct one. Who will vote for bank robbers and for a party who has all defeated candidates in the last general election as ministers. Loosers, frogs, thieves all are with Sirisena so do you think anyone with a solid mind will vote for those rascals except a crazy guy. What you will gain by voting to these poltical clowns. UNP is the most corrupt party at the moment. They are involved in the biggest Bank robbery in history. They should not be allowed to roam freely instead they should be behind bars. No one with a right mind will give their vote to SLFP or UNP, if they give that means they do not love their Motherland or care about the future of this country
I call them traitors to Motherland.

Patriots and the people who really loves this nation should use their vote on pohottuwa period, because that’s the only party represents the poor masses. They have a leader who has shown his capabilities for ten long years defeating the most feared terrorist organisation in the world. Poor masses loves this man sincerely. The name Mahinda is a name to recon with among all the other gutless leaders. Make pohottuwa a beautiful flower on February 10th and make us all happy

  5. Indrajith Says:

I too agree with Ananda and Ranjit!

Who wants to vote for the Yahapalana gang who sent Buddhist monks and heroic armed forces personnel to jail and released hard core terrorists including the one who shot down Antonov fighter jets and killed several hundred service personnel instantly, robbed the Central Bank in the broad day light and sold valuable economic resources to foreign countries?
