Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena being received by TTD authorities on his arrival at Tirumala on Tuesday, April 16, 2019.

Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena arrived here on Tuesday to offer prayers at the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara near here, a temple official said.

Accompanied by his wife Jayanthi Pushpa Kumari and other family members and Lankan officials, Sirisena landed at Renigunta airport, 20 km from here, at noon.

Amid tight security, he reached the hills by road, the official told PTI.

The president would take part in the ‘Suprabhatha’ ritual and offer prayers to the presiding deity of Lord Venkateswara in the early hours Wednesday, the official added.

Is he stupid or mad or cunning.

Who is this man going to see on the side?

Not Venteswara’s consorts but Indian officials who look after the Indian Colony, Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka’s de facto state religion has changed since 2007 as all heads of state since then pay homage to South Indian Hindu shrines with complete dedication. The nation followed the leader’s religious inclination since ancient times. When King Dewanapatissa adopted Buddhism, the nation followed.

It is time to reassess the cost of all foreign pilgrimages – India, Mecca, Vatican, etc. They cost a massive amount of foreign currency. My estimation is at least half a billion dollars a year, and every year. We don’t have that kind of forex which is earned by exporting mothers to the Middle East.

It is far more than car permits to politicians and their expensive foreign trips combined.

This insanity must be taxed heavily. Solosmasthana (16 holy shrines) are sufficient for Buddhists and thousands of temples. Kovils, churches and mosques are aplenty too – more than enought for others.

This traitor vairapla sorry sena is a disgrace to Sri Lanka and Buddhism. Can you imagine a head of state worshiping at a different religious site than his/her own? But this shameless uneducated moron doesn’t know all these fictitious gods can’t do anything. We all know, these man-made gods thrived in the olden days in the
    absence of science.

Today, we all know (honest and educated only) how all these living things came to being. Charles Darwin showed
to the world all that with his Theory of Evolution. What’s more, he explained all living things, including flies,
mosquitoes etc. etc how came to be being in his book, The Tree of Life. Today, all that is fact not fiction. Ok god created man, woman, who created mosquitoes, flies etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.? Say his deputies done them for the
sake of arguement. What for? God theory has only holes in it. Nothing to substantiate the claim. A bogus claim!

Over 2018 years or over 1500 years ago gods thrived since people used to worship mountains, trees, rivers etc.
But today, there shouldn’t be a place for these blind faiths. But thanks to morons like these and powerful, rich organisations fictitious gods survive. In one case, fast multiplying to increase the numbers have been used to
    propagate them.

Earth’s size is a grain of sand in the vast vast vast universe where no scientist knows where the edges are to date.
What’s more distances are measured in light years in the universe. To imagine all these are anybody’s creation
is insulting these very very clever two legged creatures who can send satellites etc. etc. to billions of miles away
from the earth from things dug out from the ground, refined. If you want another presidential term, you work
hard for it traitor moron and win hearts and minds of the people. Bribing these fictitious gods only make you a laughing stock you moron. Ignorance is bliss. Go 72 miles to Kandy or 125 miles to Anuradhapura to seek real
help from the only true, real religion in this money ruling, corrupt world! Shame on you traitor moron who has
done nothing other than treacheries, lies and lies in the last 5 years.

A few days ago my friend who lives in Kandy sent me an email lamenting that every where he goes all he hears is Tamil. Today according to a relative of mine 70% of Sri Lanakan children under the age of 10 are tamil speaking.
When I go to Independence Squire all I hear is the same and all I see are non Sinhala instructions for the users of the facility.

I have nothing in particular against Tamils. But for our prez to engage in this type of activities and for MR to do similar things in Nuwara Eliya they must be knowing the things to come. If anyone does anything against this trend, expect to be jailed or knocked off. They know that the Sinhalas are divided almost 50-50 and are mostly the villagers who can be easily fooled with a rice packet and a bottle.
