Sirisena Pleasing the UNP to the Demise of the SLFP?

Dilrook Kannangara
King Soththisena is an Anuradhapura era king who ruled in the 5th century AD. His rule was marked by weak governance and atrocities against Buddhism. As a result he didn’t last for more than a year. Unfortunately the same is enacted again in Sri Lanka. The incumbent president is bending over backwards to appease the TNA, UNP, India and the US. In doing so he is destroying his beloved SLFP for which he dedicated his entire adult life.
However, appeasing these sections now turns fatal as the 19A aims to make him a permanent slave to the UNP Prime Minister. Incredibly, he fails to see this danger and is determined to pass the 19A. His action, coupled with the actions of Mahinda and Chandrika have further destroyed the SLFP. Now it has no chance of winning the forthcoming General Election. It’s fragmented and its first and second layers are pulling in opposite directions. The president is once again blind to this happening and plays his role in the UNP plan to fragment the SLFP.
He must realise his responsibilities to the nation and the party and act accordingly.
His foreign policy which swings from India to China back and forth puts the nation in deeper danger than it is now. Ultimately it will be without any dependable external friends. His finance and internal affairs ministers have already earned the wrath of the people. These differences between the SLFP and the UNP will amplify after the General Election if the UNP wins it. The president will be an absolute slave and a prisoner of the UNP parliamentary majority. His policy alignment is with Mahinda, not the UNP. The sooner he acknowledges it, the better.

This puppet should be kicked out from the party S.L.F.P. because he was a traitor to the party in the first place by leaving it and contesting against the then President of the party. He shouldn’t be the President of the party at all. Mahinda is the man who brought the party to a level which is today when others left. Choura Regina once left and formed another party with her late husband and now she comes back and haunt again like a wicked witch.
If S.L.F.P want to win the elections they must give nomination to Mahinda and pick him as the Prime Minister without any conditions. These blind idiots should understand by now who is the most popular leader of them all in the S.L.F.P and give in to the public demand. I like if MR form a new party and contest the next elections with a new set of politicians including old & new. They should all join hands with true patriots to the nation and promise good Governance. If we don’t do it there won’t be a country for the Sinhalese to call home. Already Tamils & Muslims taking over the land in the pretext of Yahapalanaya. MY3 & Ranil is working according to the white Imperialists and India’s advise and within few months the whole country will be in a mess and we the Sinhalese will have to suffer more than during war times. Stupids wake up and think of your country first than your stomach.

I endorse both Dilrook and Ranjit. The breaking factor in the SLFP is it’s current President (MY3). Can’t the membership get rid of him. The biggest problem MY3 has is he has no principles, He came to power not to govern the country for the people living in the country, but for his coup masters. If we can impeach the President, Sri Lankans can have their own political leaders. Lot of voters know RW and CBK’s intentions so they never will vote for these two to be the country’s leaders. The duo have proved themselves many times. But MS was the unproven, mystery factor. He is turning to be the most treacherous leader SL ever had.
My3 cannot care less, if he breaks the SLFP or not. To understand him, you need to understand the coup masters. The outsiders never want to see the country prosper.
As per coup leaders, the only punishable wrong done by Mahinda is finishing the war. If he did not, he is still the President of SL, darling of the west. Probably, a winner of the Nobel Peace Price.

This behavior of Sirisena has little to do with his caring about the future of the SLFP….it is pure and simple vengeance and is in joint action with CBK. The Sirisena stance on 19A shows he does not understand that the rug is being pulled from under his feet, OR he couldn’t care less about the country, since revenge against MR is higher on his list of priorities.

Deceit and Subterfuge. Betrayal and Revenge are at the core of all that is happeningwith My3 and the SLFP leadership tussles.
One might think the problem would be resolved at the upcoming elections if the carrot of the Election Reforms is offered to tempt the vote in Parliament to vote for 19A. BUT THAT AGAIN IS A RANIL WICKRAMASINGHA MIRAGE.
THIS PARLIAMENT SHOULD VOTE OUT 19A DESPITE THE OFFER OF SOME GOOD REFORMS.
THE COUNTRY’S NATIONAL SECURITY IS STILL TOO UNSAFE TO PASS ON POWER TO THE TRIO THAT PLANNED THIS POLITICAL COUP.
HOPE THE SLFP REALISES THAT MY3 IS SELLING THEM OUT….AND THAT WE WILL NOT HAVE AN INDEPENDENT COUNTRY FOR LONG.
WE WILL GO BACK TO COLONIALISM!!
