PM declares intent to steer the country towards revolution

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe has declared his intent on steering the country towards a revolution this year. Addressing a function organized to mark National Housing Day in Tissamaharama, the Prime Minister was optimistic of effecting a revolution tenfold that of 1977. The Prime Minister said that they are getting ready to effect a major revolution in the country after the Parliamentary elections. The people had many aspirations after the war, but these were not met. It is to meet these aspirations that revolution will be launched. The entire Parliament will be made a Government after the elections. The Prime Minister mentioned that he would reveal details of the programme within two weeks. It is not the people who became rich in the last five years. The people became poor and free education was lost. A handful became rich and started earning money through scams. This would be eliminated and a revolution tenfold that of 1977 will be effected. Prime Minister Wickremasinghe handed over cheques to housing loan recipients on this occasion. The Prime Minister was presented with a First Day Cover and the Housing Day Flag released to mark National Housing Day. Expressing views at this function, Minister Sajith Premadasa revealed of plans to provide shelter for all within the next five years.
The Minister said that massive grabbing of land had taken place in the Hambantota District. The previous administrators began slinging mud at the United National Party saying it was a cat’s paw of the imperialists. But these so called patriots alienated lands in thousands of acres to imperialists and big companies. 1.5 million families are now homeless. He added that their intention was to provide shelter to all within the next five years.

The revolution we saw after Jan 8th is spectacular. Even after 200 days there’s nothing. In the early days this type of talk was called Chanda Gundu.

The only revolution will be the Parliamentary Election itself, which will kick out Ranil’s YAKAPALANAYA regime and confine My3 to an actual PAMBAYA in a Polonnaruwa paddy field !!
