Everyone is scared to be UK high commissioner. Why not Mervyn Silva – he might offer to marry Elizabeth Aacchii !

  2. Ratanapala Says:

Well said Sanga. It is a post that should go to an experienced diplomat who is well versed in history, world politics and Sri Lanka’s interests at heart. This goes out to show what a pedestrian President we have in Sri Lanka. He has little knowledge of what is right, what is ethical let alone “good governance”. At least he must consult his advisors before shooting off his ‘political mouth’. Now that Sanga has declined he might think of offering the place to Melvyn Silva.

Hijacking the parliamentary seats won, selling Mahinda’s face is a dastardly, mean and low act.

What a let down to Sri Lanka, Gamarala Aliyage Walge Ellila Divya Loke Yannawa Wage!

  3. Lorenzo Says:

Sanga did the RIGHT thing BUT we have a bigger problem. Maru Sira is DESPERATELY trying to AVOID UNP appointing that old beauty queen to that post. That was why Maru Sira asked Sanga.

She was the SL HC to another country before and stands to get this post. President Maru Sira rejected her (not that she refused!!)

SL has NO one suitable to that post. We have to pick from the available lot. If that woman becomes the SL HC to UK it is a DISASTER!

  4. Nimal Says:

With all my respect to Sanga,I would recommend the former HC Ksenuka Seneviratna as the next HC to London as she had a very professional approach and dedication to to the job.
We need experienced professionals there.Dr Nonis had a hard time with some people undesirables employed, perhaps by the politicians?
Less I say about the place is better, never to go there for a function.

  5. Ratanapala Says:

Well if one who sold tea for Ceylon Tea Board at Katunayake International Airport can become the High Commissioner of Malaysia and even become a Minister in the government, we have to re-think Sanga’s options despite what I mentioned above.
