Both President Maithripala Sirisena and President Mahinda Rajapaksa are Sri Lankans. Both are Sinhala Buddhists. Both belong to the SLFP and are SLFP stalwarts. Both have served in the cabinets of the late Prime Minister Sirimavo Bandaranaike and President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunge. Both have served the nation to the best of their ability and both are PATRIOTS without any doubt and WILL and SHOULD defend the sovereignty of our ATHRUBOOMIYA at all cost. It is the duty of both President Maithripala Sirisena and President Mahinda Rajapaksa to take care of the MINORITY communities of Sri Lanka respectfully, equally and fairly under the rule-of-law and the constitution without any violation of their Human Rights and Fundamental Rights. The meeting of these two national leaders at the 100th birth anniversary commemoration of the Mahanayake Thera of the Sri Lanka Amarapura Maha Sangha Sabha, Most Ven. Davuldena Sri Gnanissara Thera at the BMICH yesterday as shown in the picture above on the www.dailynews.lk/www.adaderana.lk on the 1st of January 2016 is a blessed and warm meeting to been seen. May this be the beginning of a long friendship to be to revived between both these national leaders and the leaders of the SLFP to enable the SLFP to return to power with a majority SLFP Party local government network and a central government in the near future with a strong UNP opposition.
Many leading small party leaders and pseudo-nationalist do not wish the UNITY of these two national leaders. Some in the SLFP itself, for selfish reasons have waged numerous conspiracies to have these two national leaders at loggerheads in order that they may be able to make their day dreams come true in politics. Some want to be PM’s, some want to be deputy presidents, some want to be deputy PM’s, some want to be political VVIP’s and even some others want to be those who could manipulate and navigate the Presidency and or government to satisfy the wishes and whims of the Western powers or our big brother neighbours. The introduction to make Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka in 2010 to stand against President Mahinda Rajapaksa and the denial of nominating Hon. Maithripala Sirisena as the PM during the last stages of President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s tenure was a conspiracy to defeat the strength of the SLFP by these conspirators within the SLFP. The new conspiracies are, promoting enmity between President Maithripala Sirisena and President Mahinda Rajapaksa which has been successful to some extent and working to drive a wedge between Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe and President Maithripala Sirisena in the run-up to the local government election to be held somewhere in April 2016, promoting a close clandestine political understanding between President Mahinda Rajapaksa and PM. Ranil Wickremasinghe and misguiding the UNP not to be taken for a ride as a result of the unity of the 3 SLFP musketeers (Mahinda, Sirisena and Chandrika). Added to this is promoting the refusal by former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunge refusing and not agreeing with President Maithripala Sirisena to work together with President Mahinda Rajapaksa to make the SLFP stronger and to enable win all the local bodies except the UNP traditional strongholds. Destiny decisions are final. But the UNITY of President Maithripala Sirisena and President Mahinda Rajapaksa is needed to the stability of the country and the nation and for the SLFP to win almost all the local bodies at the forth coming local government election this year. Their determined UNITY as SLFPers will bring together former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunge, (though a spent force in the politics of Sri Lanka) into the realm of SLFP politics once again. The majority of the Sri Lankan voters want and wish the SLFP to govern our country. I too as a SLFP stalwart since 1969 wish the same.
President Maithripala Siresena, President Mahinda Rajapaksa and President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunge as SLFPers should join together and become UNITED in this blessed year of 2016, by God AllMighty
