Dear Mr Gotabhaya Rajapakse,
We totally agree with the writer’s feelings and request. You were the brain power behind President Mahinda Rajapakse. You were the pioneer who worked with determination to keep Sri Lanka as one country. You were given free hand by President Mahinda Rajapakse, who did not have an iota of doubt of your skills.
You should not wait silently any more, you must ask yourself whether you want to see the country that you love so much is allowed to perish within next 24 months. You must come forward. Bring all forces of Maha Sanga, Christian, Catholic, Muslim clergy, Workers, Teachers, Farmers, Trade Unions under one umbrella.
This is not a time to hibernate. This government must be toppled by legal means.
Today is an ideal day for a DECLRATION OF COMMITMENT from you Sir.

The day Gota ordered Army to shoot Ratupaswala protesters who were demanding clean drinking water, he completely lost his case to be a people’s leader. The BBS also lost their credibility as they endorsed it. As I see it Gota and BBS are history.
A disciplined retired or serving leader from the armed forces should form a party with the patriots to lead the nation. Those who took power on 8th January are showing the citizens that they are utterly incapable of fulfilling a single important promise given. They seem to be in league with the crooks by appointing them to important positions in governance.

According to the Report of the inquiry into the Rathupaswala, compiled by the former Supreme Court Judge Justice Priyantha and his team, there had been no direct evidence that former Defence Secretary was responsible for the shooting incident. The report was released last January to the current President, with copies to Prime Minister Mr Wickremasinghe and State Defence Minister Ruwan Wijewaredene.
We recommend ‘good cold shower’ to get rid of illusions for those who unreasonably attack the character of Mr Gotabaya Rajapakse.

My brother and his family who live less than 200m from the Ratupswala factory had been taking ‘cold showers’ from their well and had been complaining about body irritations due to contaminated water even before the incident. They had no alternative but to drink that water too. The so called patriotic leaders should not have unleashed the army on the helpless people; they had a genuine case. After taking body showers over a long period and using that water for cooking and drinking my brother had been diagnosed with cancer just a few weeks ago.
The brigadier who was involved in the shooting was given a diplomatic posting for the ‘good job’ done by him. If not Gota who gave that promotion?. He was the head of the army.
Yes Gota did a splendid job during the war; but he cannot win a country wide election. Please rally round a sensible leader without spoiling another chance.

A Supreme Court judge appointed by MR has cleared Gota. What else you want. Please pay you brother to buy a different land.
Gota didn’t ask the “Ranaviruva” to shoot people.
He did not send the “Ranaviruva” abroad as the ambassador but MR sent him.
MR is not at fault because he did not order to shoot that man either, he sent Ranaviruva to a suitable post only.
Where else a brigadier who fought the war be sent ? Jail ?
Ours is a great democracy, a Yahapalanaya given to us by MR first and now MS. You need proof to prosecute people.

Aloy, You are suffering from a decease called selective memory. In all instances whether it is Rathupaswala,Katunayake or Puttlam Army or police opened fire when the protest became unruly and violent. No soldier or a policeman with a gun in hand will run when they are attacked.

Why are we still trying to frame Gota over Ratupaswala? How about Ranil who was convicted by and recommended to be striped off his Civic Rights by three judges over Batalanda murders? Why don’t we take Sirisena to courts for lying to the nation over Rajapakse bribes upto 90% and Luxury aircrafts (there is video evidence to show Sirisena uttering these stupid allegations)?
Gota is the only and the best person who could save the country once more. If Mahinda joins a new party wicked Sirisena (listening to enemy advise) will cancel Mahinda’s SLFP membership thereby his parliamentary seat.

Gota should join the political stream and lead all subjects of the Indian Empire as he did in defeating the Indian terrorist arm in the island. If he does not the Indian Empire will take him to Hague and he will end up smoking Kerala ganja in the jail in Hague. Hague could not get Kenyatta a great man.

I love to see him leading the country but he is no crook, no politician to run this corrupted political machinery.

Re Rathupaswela well poisoning :
We suspect foul play in the wells being suddenly poisoned. We think it was not a naturally occurring event. We think that the wells were purposely poisoned to cause trouble for the MR govt.
A crowd of over 5,000 rioters came in the DARK of night and threw petrol bombs at the Army. The Army had been called in by the Police who could not contain the crowds. The Army acted according to their instructions.
The whole things was planned to create Riots, just like in the trumped up 1983 Riots. The 1983 Riots were caused purposely so that nearly a million Tamils could go west as Refugees. That was the only way Tamils could enter the west in large numbers. Today, these Tamils form the Tamil Diaspora and the WTF – all organized to down Lanka through spread of lies, cheat and deceit.
Sleeping Sinhala Buddhists are always made the scapegoats.

Tamil leaders brought out the Vadukoddai Resolution (1976) prior to the 1983 Riots

Gota did a fine job during and after the war. But I doubt that he wants to enter politics.
What Lanka needs now is a Group of able politico (5-8), trusted by the People and with proven good performances, to govern the country. Gota could be one of them.

Yes, Rathupaswala incident is a very well planned plot hatched by UNP, JVP, and LTTE (TNA) to
overthrow Mahinda’s government with collaboration from Western intelligent agencies.
Gota should definitely be brought to SL politics, if we are to save the unitary status of our country.
Mahinda, Wimal, Udhaya and Dinesh are the other patriotic leaders who should rally round him!

All what Gota has done to bring peace to Sri Lanka cannot be eclipsed by a dubious accusation such as Rathpaswela. Rathupaswela as writers above has pointed out is an incident planned and orchestrated by the forces inimical to the Rajapakse Administration.
Aloy’s Catholic agenda will not prevent the War Hero Gotabhaya from his future role as the one who is most suitable for the Presidency of Sri Lanka.
Got nor the BBS are history! They both have a message for all Sri Lankans.

As I correctly predicted, Rathupaswala was the END of MR.
It is NOT the end of GR.
But GR has to come forward without hiding under his US CITIZENSHIP. He has to GIVE UP his US citizenship to enter parliament or become president. IF he can’t do it, then forget about him.

The change that people are longing for, can be only brought in by GR. This yaha paalana ”kenda haliya” is going to topple within this year. They can’t go together. There are huge differences among them and some of them like Gon Ranja are fuming.
The arrest of Hirunka perhaps is the beginning of the end of this bogus yaha paalaney. Definitely, there will be arguments flaring up for and against her arrest and that seems the beginning.
There is no other suitable time for GR to come forward. This is the right time. All those traitors must be taken care of, without delay if we are to protect Mother Lanka.

We do not think a single person can survive as a solo leader in Lanka. It will have to be a group of time tested, trusted, able, loyal educated persons (5-8) to lead Lanka at this point in time. Gota can be one such person, if he agrees. Gota is not a fool. We agree with whatever decision he makes.
*. How many Sinhala/Buddhist leaders & Others have been killed, along with a famous son (Rajiv Gandhi) of India for the Tamil Separatist cause ?
*. How many Sinhala/Buddhist rural folk have got killed for the cause of defending Lanka and because of Tamil Separatism ?
All because Root Causes of what ails Lanka have not been identified/addressed.

For GOTA to come to power Maru Sira has to be removed BEFORE he turns SL FEDERAL.
Who can do that and save SL?
IF SLs can’t do it, it has to be OUTSOURCED to a foreign party.
Maru Sira CANCELLED the Pakistani jet sale to SL. Obviously Pakistan is angry with SL which has become an ENDIAN STATE. It is in Pakistan’s best interests to remove Maru Sira.
