Dear Mr President,
The whole country knows that you are in a big predicament. You called for this by abdicating the powers of the Executive President under the 19th A., perhaps without knowing its potentialities. Now can’t help. The one who fell in to the well as the famous Sinhala saying goes ‘has to come out of it from the same opening he fell.
Now everybody know why you are taking so much time wooing wretched Ranil ,because you have given the handle of the sword to your enemy. When that happen like in Maname naturally he will cut your
Now there is only one way out of it. It is very simple. You may not have even dreamt of it. This is what you have to immediately
Assume full executive powers and Sack all 112 Ministers. Bring it down to 30 as the whole Parliament has agreed. Nobody can find fault with you for doing that, even Ranil cant say you have done some thing wrong Because he also has agreed to 30. Apportion 15 to each partner. Have the Finance in your hand or in one of your faithful SLFP man. The whole country will be with you for removing Ravi that rascal pimp of the West. Remove jokers like Rajita, Mangala, even your friend and relation Duminda and keep Buddhasasana, Agriculture ,Trade. Foreign Affairs and Mahweli with you in addition to what else you prefer.
Now that Ranil and his golayas like Ajith have threatened to dissolve Parliament see whether they will do it. For a moment I don’t think they will. F the government falls you ask your friend Mahinda to form a government and thereby you can save the SLFP as well. I can assure you Mahinda will not do any harm though you have done and continue to do even now. Because he loves the SLFP unlike Chandrika. If you do that you will sail safe till 2020 without any problem . Ranil can never win an election HE knows it better than anyone else. So even if he opt to he will never win . Tamils and Muslims are like prostitutes. They will support the man who get the majority. Mahinda will do it. He is a master at that. You saw how your so-called friend Modi met him and even invited him to visit India. Modi perhaps knows better than you people where the wind is blowing.
So I think this is the only way for you to get out of the present predicament

My3, people will forgive you and even forget your evil deeds if you do the right thing now to save the country from these traitors, Ranil, Chandrika and Mangala. All you have to do is to admit your mistakes and appoint Mahinda as the Prime Minister and prune the cabinet as Sudath says and get rid of all those parasites from the parliament.

An ingenious suggestion. If Maithri follows it, he can redeem himself completely. He will also be saving the country from doom. The January 8 coup deserves to be undone by thus betraying the betrayers, which is not a crime. Mahinda is not the vindictive type. If Maithri makes Mahinda PM, then I am sure at least some patriotic MPs from other parties including the UNP are likely to join him. Naturally, all those people who took part in the Galle Face rally, and millions more that supported them from home, will hail Maithri as the heroic president who saved our 2600 year old island state. India has already half ingested poor Sri Lanka. The monster will disgorge her only if a leader like Mahinda assumes control. The only remedy is for the majority community to act in unity, like the minorities are doing. Let’s get the leading monks (we can ignore the dissenting mahanayakes if necessary) to make this appeal to Maithri and persuade him to save the country, the nation, and the religion by adopting the strategy that Dr Gunaseklera proposes here. Maithri seems to think that he is already doing the best for the country by working with Ranil to please the minorities and the so-called international community. Let the monks convince him that he is gravely mistaken. Victory to our motherland!
