What is happiness, and how can we all get some? Biochemist turned Buddhist monk Matthieu Ricard says we can train our minds in habits of well-being, to generate a true sense of serenity and fulfillment.

However the tranquility of mind spends significantly on the tranquility/integrity of the surroundings (society) as Mangala sutte says. What we have in Sri Lanaka is more akin to parabhava sutte than the Mangala sutte. It is good endeavor for religious leaders to take a lead in achieving a better social environment (in Buddhism it is called activism Buddhism)
