Are we going to have law of the jungle?.

Dr Sarath obeysekera

People were agitated by Ven Ratana who has some revolutionary thinking when he opted fasting unto death

He created a impression that rulers cannot Implement rules if law and order in the country.

Now you see that he is trying to agitate the public again by gate crashing the Bati Sharia University

Is he trying to show his muscle power to muster public support.?

When such demonstrations are given publicity worldwide, it can create impression that Sri Lankan Buddhist monks are trying to take the law into their hands.

We have university grant commission to tackle the legality issues of the Sharis University

Monks should be confined to basic Buddhist teachings and advocate meditation as means of teaching the public to behave with Upeksha means equanimity.

When one experiences truth, the madness of finding fault with others disappears.”. … there is an inner core common to all religions: the universal teachings of morality and charity, of a disciplined and pure mind full of love, compassion, goodwill …

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today informed the Fort Magistrate Court that several documents including an application form to open an Arabic school in Sri Lanka were found from the Kolonnawa house of Azzam Mohammed Mubharak alias Abdullah, who blew himself at the Kingsbury Hotel in Colombo.

The CID also informed acting Magistrate Jayantha Dias Nanayakkara that the suicide bomber Abdullah and several other suspects had undergone weapon training in Nuwara Eliya, while residing in Enderamulla and Ninthavur areas.

Submitting the progress report of the investigations into the Eastern Sunday attacks, the CID also said that Imura Lebbe Mohammed Saajith, who placed his signature in the application form to open an Arabic school in Sri Lanka, as the secretary, was also taken into the custody for questioning.

It was also revealed that the Abdullah was an active member of the National Thawheed Jama’ath (NTJ) since 2014. After questioning Mohammed Saajith, the CID had recorded a statement from Hamza Mohammed Waqar Yunis of Weligama. Another suspect Zeinul Abdeen Mohammadu Jaseel, who had underwent weapons training in Kathankudy alone with suicide terrorist Abdullah was also taken into the custody for questioning.

The Magistrate directed the CID to update the court about the progress of the investigations into the incident on July 10.(Nimanthi Ranasinghe)

This monk tried to kill himself and he cannot be a Buddhist. The first precept is about life.

These buildings did not appear from nowhere and the architects of the project who are Sinhalese had it advertised for the public for more than a year.

I do not like this monk or others like Champika who use Sinhalese for their own ends but not for the advancement of the Sinhalese people including the Sinhalese Muslims.
