The Skills of the Negotiator or the Negotiating Team — is in the Result!

Like Good Soldiers do not make World Leaders. 

Getting a PhD or a Professorship Does Not Mean that these educated bods Have Any Empathy!

Personally I would Never Hire anyone with a PhD or a DSc as a manager!

Negotiation is a Calculated Logical  Communication Skill.

And Negotiations with the IMF require More Sales Skill than brain power of Isaac Newton.

The Basics of Global Negotiations are in English! —– Period!

The Sri Lanka Diplomats I have met are more likely to do a Charlie Chaplin on negotiations.  They Lack Skill & Charisma!.

However, when entering the negotiation table, it is always good for the Host to start with a light-hearted joke to break the ice. 

Make everybody laugh. Cuts down the stoik official seriousnous.

In my negotiations with British is much easier to start. So do Americans. 

But my discussions with Russian officials was difficult to start. 

Middle East Arabs like the Saudi Arabians are quite serious.

With Singaporeans, the best way to win is over a relaxed dinner.
