We wish to thank the vast majority of Sri Lankan Theravada Sinhala Buddhists for providing the Happiest Day in his life to MDMK General Secretary Vaiko. The Hindu newspaper reported on 9 January that Vaiko has said “Today is the happiest day in my life and every Tamil family is celebrating the fall of Mahinda Rajapakse”. The news item continued its reporting as “The MDMK cadre in Tuticorin rejoiced on Friday over the defeat of former Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa in the presidential elections. Celebrations began with partymen led by S. Joel, district secretary of MDMK bursting crackers on Victoria Extension Road in Tuticorin town. The cadre also distributed sweets to the public “
During the most recently concluded General Election in India, the vast majority of Hindus did not provide a happy day to Vaiko, Jayalalitha team by choosing the National Congress Party led by Sonia Gandhi, but the act committed by Sri Lankan Sinhala Theravada Buddhist is a disgrace.
At no other previous elections, the Sri Lankan Theravada Sin hala Buddhists suffered a severe setback compared to what happened on January 8, 2015.
The three communities in Sri Lanka Sinhalese, Tamils and Muslims equally enjoy all benefits. But to whom they listen?
The Tamils have listened to their leaders of TNA and voted for the Common Candidate, who himself was a Sinhala Theravada Buddhist .Muslim community listened to the leaders of SLMC and voted to the same Common Candidate. But our idiotic, lunatic, bid-headed, disgusting Theravada Sinhala Buddhists did not listen to their leader who has provided safety for their families, freedom of travel, improved living standards, hope for fture, with an excellent score card of two terms results Let us analyse the shocking results:
PROVINCES NOT DOMINATED BY THERAVADA SINHALA BUDDHISTS:
North Province :MS 74% vs MR 22%
Vanni Province :MS 78% vs MR 19%
Batticaloa :MS 82% vs MR 16%
Digamadulla : MS 65% vs MR 33%
Trincomalee : MS 72% vs MR 27%
PROVINCES DOMINATED BY THERAVADA SINHALA BUDDHISTS:
Anuradhapura : MR 54% vs MS 46%
Hambanthota : MR64% vs MS 35 %
Matara : MR 58% vs MS 41%
A simple arithmetic average shows that in areas where Tamils and Muslims have domination, the Common Candidate has averaged 74% whereas Sinhala Theravada Buddhist dominated areas the President Mahinda Rajapakse has averaged a miserable 55%. Why didn’t Sinhala Theravada Buddhists return the President with pecentages of high 70% to 80% in Anuradhapura, Hambanthotha and Matara?
The overall majority was 449,062 votes. If President Mahinda Rajapakse has agreed to grant an Administrative District for Rauff Hakeem in the Eastern Province , the President could have obtained well over extra 224,531 votes ( half of overall majority) and romped home. But the President placed his trust on the Sinhala Theravada Buddhists believing that they will stand-by with him for protecting the Unitary nature of state and off-set the loss of Muslim votes by a much higher proportion of votes.
The majority of Sri Lankan Theravada Buddhists must be ashamed of themselves. Now there is no point in repenting, because you have already committed a grave sin. Can this sin be forgiven if these guilty conscious Sri Lankan Theravadha Buddhists undertake extensive Dhana, Seela and Bhavana.
The Samyutta Nikaya states:
“According to the seed that’s sown,
So is the fruit you reap there from,
Doer of good will gather good,
Doer of evil, evil reaps”

VAIKO you are nothing but a thug.You can sing and dance as much you can until you get tired who cares. We know who the real Tamils are now except few good Tamils like Kadirgama and few others who actually loved their Motherland. We saw how they showed their gratitude towards the man who gave them not only freedom but everything including jobs,Education,Roads and a safe heaven to live as free people. So vaiko you un-greatful hypocrits dance with the wolf until your dreams come true in hell.
Our President Mahinda is a man with principals not a divider but a true leader who treats equally to every mankind. Don’t think he is dead and gone.He will rise from the dead and take all the traitors and murderers to hell same as Prabakaran.Just wait and watch VAIKO just watch.

1. His family is from Gampaha. But they were very strong patriots. So when DSS started COLONIZATION schemes they moved to Polonnaruwa. What a great event when a son of a SINHALA COLONIZATION SCHEME became the president. EXCEPTIONAL!
2. My3 worked very hard to SUSTAIN the Sinhala threatened villages from Tamil invasion. That was why LTTE tried to kill him twice.
3. My3’s father served in the army (among other jobs).

The defeat of Mahinda Rajapakse is much more than this article:
Indian papers covering this election often pointed out to President Rajapakse’s close connection to China and how that connection was a security threat to India. that is one issue
From Chennai to New Delhi charges of human rights violations brought upon President Mahinda Rajapakse were also meant to include the military. Those charges brought by the UNHRC failed but then an investigation was brought up by the United Kingdom and Ban Ki Moon. Again against the office of the President and the Minister of Defense which also meant the Sri Lankan military. After the election of Sirisena this issue seems to have vanished out of the Indian media. but it has not.
BEWARE:
Replacing President Rajapakse IS THE FIRST STEP.
Now comes the purge of the military. It is essential that the new government of Sirisena remove any military personnel from the highest level (President Rajapakse, his brother Gotabaya Rajapakse included) and all the military personnel faithful to him. It was on this issue Mahinda Rajapakse won the election, defeated the Tamil Tigers and the concept of Elam and created an infrastructure for the military for future wars. THAT HAS TO GO.
ANY POWER IN COLOMBO THAT KEPT MAHINDA RAJAPAKSE IN POWER HAS TO GO. THAT INCLUDES
-PURGING THE MILITARY (If this happens the Buddhist Sanga must be prepared to absorb these highly trained people)
-PURGING THE BADU BALA SENA- this is essential for no matter the differences between the BBS and Rajapakse both worked together.
-PURGING THE SINHALESE NATIONALIST MOVEMENT- The biggest impediment to the “Elam Tamils” and the writ of rule by Chennai and now New Delhi under the BJP.
-PURGING THE SIS. the new Secret Service organization of any affiliation to the Rajapaikse administration
-REPLACING THEM WITH PRO SIRISENA ELEMENTS ESPECIALLY TAMILS OR ELAM SYMPATHIZERS IN THE MILITARY AND GOVERNMENT.
THIS IS A TIME HONORED PRACTICE TO REPLACE A POWER BASE AND RE ESTABLISH THE TAMIL DOMINANCE. ELAM WILL BECOME AND ISSUE. IF IT DOES NOT THEN EXPECT COLOMBO TO TAKE ORDERS FROM NEW DELHI VIA CHENNAI
BIGGEST PROBLEM NOW STANDING IN THE WAY OF SIRISENA IS CHINA. WILL CHINA ACCEPT THIS CHANGE OF GUARD THAT IS MEANT TO PIVOT SRI LANKA’S FOREIGN POLICY AWAY FROM CHINA AND TOWARDS INDIA?
This is a summary of what can be expected. I hope I am wrong. I believe I am right. Please consider the above and what further actions will the new government take in order to remove any vestiges of Mahinda Rajapakse and the rise of the TNA.

The new government cannot have a military which found its fame and expertise under Mahinda Rajapakse who consolidated the twin posts of President and head of the military to defeat the Tamil tigers. Sirisena cannot afford to have the military personnel still faithful to Rajapakse. THEY HAVE TO GO!!!

Please change “BADU” to BODU. Badu Bala Sena was headed by Namal Rajapakse has been already purged , which is good for the country.
Thank you very much for raising this concern. It is a valid point. But the monk Ganasara must be disrobed by Shangha getting together to protect Buddhism. Please don’t consider it as a “purging of Bodu Bala Sena”.
If MS is to carry out “PURGING THE SINHALESE NATIONALIST MOVEMENT” he has to kick out JHU first.
However it concerns me when we hear that KP has fled the country and Gota has fled the country via Maldives. MR arranged to Purge the cabinet voluntarily so that his secretaries could run the country through the vacuum he created .

Real Buddhist who practice, have rejected Adhamma of Ma-Hinda. This is why around the main cities ( except Meegamuva, Halawata and the Jihadist east ) where Buddhism if taught in an organise manner ( expecially Mahanuwara) he lost support. his departure is definitely good for the Buddhism but I am not sure whether it is good for the whole nation. Jihadists and Tamils voted him out for various reasons.
1/2 of Buddhist do not even understand what is Buddhsim. It was displayed by MR in public by going half naked in Hindu Kovils and going to feet of the Pope. They do that too and there is no problem to them. But real Buddhists do not like it.

the new government and her policies
the Indian government and her policies
Silence on the activities of the TNA
Silence on China and Pakistan in keeping with New Delhi’s policies
The new “Democracy” and “pluralism” that Sirisena is assuring will end up being far more repressive in a very short time

Not so funny thing is why KP and other criminal are allowed to flee ?
But you have to give up one “purge”, “PURGING THE SINHALESE NATIONALIST MOVEMENT”. India cannot impose this. They tried this using MR and was successful to a certain extent but that is why he was defeated.

Better state it than not: One more purge would be
the Police force which is essential for the implementation of article 13.
Do away with holding powers of the provinces by the Secretary of defense so that article 13 can be implemented bringing to a conclusion the wishes of Prabhakaran. Elam is formed without ever stating it.

Powers rest with the Minister , not secretary ( unless during Gen Elections). But by appointing his brother MR had a relief.
If MY3’s brother can be appointed as Defence Secretary, what you said is correct. He cannot do it. He has appointed a civil servant and it is a good thing. We need not terrorise Tamils.
Please do not keep on demonising the new president. MR was there 9 years and see what he has done, he let his money escape with biggest LTTE murderer KP.

They did every thing that is against the teaching of that great person.
This new lot are the same, where they are up to the same tricks. They are now coming to Kandy in a circus like fashion to venerate before the relics.
They are a nuisance to the peace loving people in Kandy where they constantly disrupt our lives.
Why not take the relics to another place where they could play silly buggers?
All the past leaders who pretend to be good Buddhists have cheated the nation and now gone to live in the West.
You want to see good Buddhists then come to West where they truly practice the precepts of this great religion, where tolerance, generosity, truthfulness, honesty is plentiful.
We need the colonials back again to make us good people, from bottom to top.I doubt that they have any time for us and we are left to our own folly.
Then the expatriates could come back and help to save the country from the mess we have created since the so called independence. But the expatriates must appreciate the reasons for the good life they enjoy in the west, unless they are doing substandard jobs, never bothered or capable of assimilation with the host country.

No, my friend, REAL BUDDHISM is much more than sila, it is training yourself so that you can be free from the suffering in samsara. This is the problem with Champika and the JHU, they are trying to reduce Buddhism to Sila-only.
There are not ANY Buddhists outside of the military and police that live in the North. NONE! What kind of Buddhism is that? A Buddhist family cannot live and work in the North, but a Tamil family can live and work anywhere in Sri Lanka…WTF? And the Tamils want to make this anti-Buddhist bigotry PERMANENT by first removing the military presence, then devolving police and land powers, and then demanding a separate state or face 30 more years of terrorism.
How STUPID can the Buddhist voter possibly be by splitting its vote to give up 35-years of heard earned tears and bloodshed to finally defeating terrorism on a 'politician's worthless promise' of 'good governance' by a man who has practiced bad governance for three decades without complaining EVER. And even if Maithripala delivers on good governance and can change decades of corrupt government culture in 100 days or 6 years, is that worth giving up ONE THIRD of your country to anti-Buddhists? NO! HELL NO!!!
And what about Ranil and his Right Wing American agenda he wants to push in Sri Lanka? How Buddhist is that? Privatization of all state resources, elimination of all price controls on food and basic necessities like water and electricity, driving up the cost of living to astronomical heights with MORE foreign ownership of real estate, replacing "no strings attached" loans from China with American-IMF loans that manage every detail of your budget so you can't spend what you need on education, healthcare, infrastructure, and security (ask Argentina) – all of these things will make most Sri Lankans POORER, and greater poverty can't possibly be pro-Buddhist.

I find it amusing that you made the comment to invite the colonials back here.
I trust you made that comment in jest.
We have more than capable and qualified people/professionals here who can show a thing or two to the colonials.
In fact there are a few Sri Lankans who are showing the colonials how its done in UK. eg Tony (Ashy) Chanmugam Group FD and No 2 at BT plc. Ashy would soon take the top job at BT once the incumbent retires.
Closer to home we have ample able people with credibility to do a good job. Regret the last regime did not employ people on capabilities, merit or qualification but merely “yes” men. Prof GLP comes to mind who has now passed the “use by date”.
With regards to expats, i bet you there are people, mainly business leaders, entrepreneurs, returning expats and professionals who enjoy a better standard of living than Sri Lankan counterparts living in the West. £ for £ on a personal level standard of living in SL is far better than UK (where I was born and spent over 40 years). I’m now able to semi-retire in my early 50’s and enjoy the best of both worlds.
The Maithri Govt is certainly making the right choices in appointing capable people to the top jobs. P B Abeykoon as Sec to the President is a good choice. Lalith Weeratunge is also a capable civil servant but unfortunately he got sucked into politics by MR. Civil Servants should not get involved in politics.
Indrajith Coomaraswamy is tipped to become Governor of Central Bank. Another capable expat, well qualified and experienced economist who has already had a stint at the Bank. The only tarnish being he was an advisor to the Galleon Group for a couple of years. Doubt very much he would have got involved in any shenanigans. Come to think of it PBJ was disqualified by the High Courts to hold public office.

Yes Marco, there are capable people here in UK and it is a strange co incidence that Tony you mentioned have gone to dizzy heights in the same company that I too excelled to dizzy heights. Likes of Tony must be thankful to likes of me setting a precedence for minorities to excel. I am glad to say I suffered a lot, needless to elaborate, to gain respect, I had, without showing any kind of arrogance made inroads in to record breaking achievements in engineering and technology where I was well involved in the transformation of the technology from the analogue to digital where we made record breaking achievements that gained the respect of my colleagues and bosses at the highest level. They admired me so much, where I had to coordinate several major projects where the people at the board level were personally were in contact with me to the annoyance of my own line managers. I took the initiative to work beyond my normal times, as late as 3.30 AM where e mails from the official network surprised them that I was dedicated enough to stay that late to achieve the targets, failing with they would have had a toll on their jobs, projects that added to the prestige of the company and in some cases colossal amounts in millions would have been in jeopardy. His former boss persuaded and retained me beyond my retiring age as a gesture of appreciation
What you say is wrong that he is showing a thing or two to the colonials. We don’t work like that in UK as likes of us by sacrificing ourselves,recieving much more insults and racism payed away for likes of Tony to come up to that level where people are judged on one’s own merit and ability and not on the colour of one’s skin.
While doing my job in that company I too held on to the full time job that I worked during my student days, where I worked that job in nights for 23 years without a day off, where I only took the 4 weeks A/L leave. I had nothing but admiration of my former colleagues who never fail to come to see me, some travelling over 100 miles just to have a drink and a curry, at least once a month. I have been their role model and they all want to be a business man like me.When ever I go to SL,they are worried that I will not return to UK.
I must write this to enlighten you a bit about these people.
I was in SL as usual to entertain my relatives of my Foreign wife who too have extended families from Japan,Singapore,Malaysia,Germany and Australia.While in SL my dear wife fell into a pothole in Kandy and fractured her ankle where she was hospitalized for over a month in SL and had to stay another two months to recover.
My son had to fly back to his job as a cop and at the same time had to arrange his marriage in London to another foreigner from the Far east. He had to arrange his wedding ceremony all by himself where his English Colleagues made all the preparations like the registration, wedding buses, the Church ceremony and the dinner where nearly 100 attended. They knew my plight and they came to the rescue of my son while we were still in SL,landed in UK only 2 days before the wedding.
I can write about the standards of our engineers SL in another day, reason I left SL in disgust in mid 60s and they are still the same or worse, judging by my recent visit.
The SL manager who looked after my one of my business in London had the worse turnover while we were away, couldn’t care less only thought about attending church
As a cutting edge engineer and a business man have little regards for followers of any religion, though I set up the Buddhist society in Belgravia, thanks to Gen Denzil.K where I met a Buddhist priest from Tibet who revealed the precepts of Buddha which I try to follow.
Sorry have to move on as tomorrow is another trading day and Japan is opening up soon
