   We don’t need a new constitution but we very badly need to abolish executive presidency.

   It was promised by Chandrika in 1994, Mahinda in 2005 and Sirisena in 2015 and it must be kept. If not for this promise, Mahinda and Sirisena would never have become president. There should be a limit to fooling voters. Sirisena has no moral right to keep EP unless of course he too has fallen to greed his predecessors fell into.

   Both EP and 13a should go together or otherwise the EP should remain.

   Only a powerful EP can develop our country similar to Singapore and Malaysia, not a weak parliament which depends on minority votes. With the current representative system, no strong parliament can emerge without the help of Hakkims, Badiuddins and Sambandans et all, who will in return make the PM to dance to their tune. If these minority parties are true patriots, there is no issue. The problem is they are so selfish and only asking for the pound of flesh…. a large piece of Mother Lanka for their consumption.

   I strongly feel that we should strengthen the EP further until we develop all the moral values, cultural and economic values and then get rid of it if people ask for it. Tamils should forget about their roots to Tamilnadu and ditch their dream of Ealam in this Island Lanka and become true part of the nation.
   If they are still dependant on Tamil Nadu culture and movies etc, then their mother land is not here.. it is in Tamil Nadu.
