Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) President V. Anandasangaree has warned the Sri Lankan government that the European Union Court’s annulment of the EU’s ban on the LTTE will be a push to revive the separatist, terrorist outfit in the Northern Province.
The veteran Tamil politician told The New Indian Express on Friday: Pro-LTTE groups both within the island and overseas have received a shot in the arm, and will now openly propagate the LTTE’s cause of separatism and terrorism. The TNA will now up its ante reflecting the LTTE’s demands.”
Meanwhile, UNP and Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe who was on a recent visit to London is reported to have attended a meeting of the Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam where he is said to have met with leading figures of the Tamil diaspora to solicit their support for his candidature at the soon to be held Presidential election.
Wickremesinghe had met with Conservative and pro-LTTE lobby groups that openly supported the cause of easing the restrictions on the LTTE in the European Court of Justice.
Dr. Rohan Gunaratna, who heads the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore has also said: The court did not conduct a substantive assessment of classification of the LTTE as a terrorist group.”
Earlier, the General Court of the European Union annulled on procedural grounds, the Council measures maintaining the LTTE on the European list of terrorist organisations.
However, in a reply the Sri Lankan External Affairs Ministry also released a statement which said that it was mindful that the European Court of Justice decision may have an impact, including from a security perspective, on the large majority of Sri Lankans living in EU territory, as well as EU citizens of Sri Lankan origin, who are likely to come under pressure once again by pro-LTTE activists.

What a hypocrite!
1. He contested from TNA in the 2012 NPC election which was won by TNA. He LOST.
2. He is a signatory to the VADAKUNDI RESOLUTION in 1976 and a FRONTLINE member of the SEPARATIST TULF. He also contested from TULF under the TAMIL ELAM manifesto in 1977.
3. He still supports FEDERALISM. IF federalism is implemented, the north and the east of SL will become TAMIL NADU-2. FEDERALISM = LTTE.
Lets not miss the woods for the trees.
The worst separatists are FEDERALISTS because we cannot wipe them out as we did with the LTTE.

The question is are the local majority be affected by these external events? If the locals majority unite and stand up to these external forces then there are no problems.

It looks like RW is heading for another betrayal. This is what Daily Mirror says.
“Opposition leader Ranil Wickremesinghe left for Singapore on a two day visit, his office announced today. The statement said he was expected in the country on Thursday, October 23.
However UNP MP Nalin Bandara Jayamaha told Parliament last evening that Mr. Wickremesinghe would be meeting some ministers from the Sri Lankan government during his visit.
“The situation is such in this country that it is not safe for our leader to meet Cabinet Ministers of the Sri Lankan government in this country. Therefore he is forced to meet them abroad,” Mr. Jayamaha said while speaking during the debate on the Land (Restriction Amendment Bill ) in the House today.
Mr. Jayamaha charged that the government had to seek the assistance of Chief Opposition Whip John Amaratunga to bring down Pope Francis to Sri Lanka. “Mr. Amaratunga had to accompany President Mahinda Rajapaksa to go to Vatican to convince the Pope to visit this country,” he said.
If the govt. wants they can easily trace which ministers are in Singapore at the moment. And if he is going to meet them clandestinely, will he give this much publicity. Under the guise of meeting Govt. ministers, he will meet LieTTe agents in Singapore.
Since, Singapore is a neutral country with not much infested with tigers, it is an ideal place to meet the tigers to avoid suspicion.
There was rumour that he met two tiger agents from France in Singapore just before the 2005 Presidential Election as well.

RW is in Singapore to meet LTTE Gnanakone (AGAIN) AND to meet govt. MPs who are trying to crossover to UNP.
This is why TAMILS LOVE RW!
In 2005 RW met Gnanakone in Singapore before the presidential election and GAVE the contract to kill Lakshman Kadirgamar which he did. Now RW is giving the contract to Gnanakone to kill someone else in the govt.
MR will visit his HINDU gods at the kovil in Andra Pradesh which he visits before ALL elections. Likewise RW visits his LTTE gods before an election.
ALL SLFP leaders want to KEEP RW because it is easy win when RW leads the opposition. But it is very bad for the nation. But who in the govt. or the opposition cares for the nation!

This dirty, lousy traitor should be charged with treason, and thrown in jail. Is it not reason to communicate and meet with banned terrorist organizations?. Our govt is too soft. If there are patriotic lawyers it’s time they rise up and filed law suits against Ranil W. He is used to lying from his days at Royal College, even then class mates would not trust him.
