SRI LANKA TO PROBE ALLEGED COUP ATTEMPT BY EX-PRESIDENT- Mangala Samaraweera,

Confirming his mud-slinging website created story, Mangala Samaraweera, the spokesman for new President Maithripala Sirisena, said Sunday that the Cabinet would investigate the alleged coup attempt by former President Mahinda Rajapaksa to stay in power when results showed he was losing last week’s election.
Samaraweera said: “People think it was a peaceful transition. It was anything but.”
He said Rajapaksa stepped down only after the army chief and the police inspector general refused to go along with him.
Samaraweeera said Rajapaksa had planned to deploy the army stop the vote count when it became clear that he was losing Thursday’s election.
Same website published a story to says the former defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapakse has fled the country to Maldives in a air force plane, but his neighbours have confirmed that Gotabaya is still in the official residence.

The day Mangalaya got sacked he started openly to criticize the Govt by opening the MUD & LIES Company in Sri Lanka. He is the King of lies and people knows who is this third class rowdy who told in the news conference once that Sirisena is nothing but a useless guy. I’m rather sceptical about this story however I’m convinced that Mahinda Rajapkse would not have given up that easily without exploring all avenues to retain power.
Evidence has proved it’s in his nature to try every trick in the book legal and illegal to get his way.
Thankfully the country was saved from further embarrassment.

Mangala Samaraweera’s imagination running riots with strange and sensational thoughts. It is obvious that nobody in this world can plot a coup to takeover a country in 5 hours. Perhaps this guy must have been watching so many Hollywood thrillers last few years when he was not in power and hasn’t got anything to do.
