Thank you SA Kumar. Sir, Glad to see that, presumable as a Tamil, you tend to accept the Change of Country Name to; Sinhela – Sinhala – Heladiva.

Furthermore, you are welcome to call Tamil Nadu, as the country of Tamil, any name the citizens of Tamil Nadu wish.

Lorenzo – You read my mind. Thank you.

I suggest that in due course, the Name Change be effected, subject to a Referendum, giving several options.

Thank you for Correction: You are correct.

It was Madam Sirimavo who affected the change to Sri Lanka.

Dramatic Change of  Satorial of President Sirisena?

No offence to ex-Pres. MR when he threw the Red Shawl  round his neck, to make the Rajapaksa Clan stand-out from the rif-raf” wearing the National Garb.

Now an over-enthusiastic Presidential Advisor or Spin-Doctor probably advised My3 to put-on an extra vest or Waste coat(?) perhaps to keep his heart warm?

Whilst Ranil Wickremesingha dons a typical conservative Western suit, complete with tie……

Why did President Maitreepala Sirisena, donned an extra WasteCoat, Indian style?

Was it to show an additional allegiance to India?  (together brother-ness)

Perhaps the President should have gone a yard” further and put an additional Pakistani cloak, with a minor alteration to make his Sherwani” look a dash Chinese, with a colour change perhaps.

How about a Red (Thambi) Hat to please the Islamists?

And a orange Spot on his forehead, to please the Hindu?

Any suggestions on footwear?  (Cowboy boots to please the Yanks?)

In the good ole days, the Gate Mudliyar wore the Sarong + Shirt + Tie + Western jacket. Some did sport a cow-horn rim on top of the head, with long hair sporting a bun”.  That just might suit the new President aka AiO My3” Sirisena.

Sri Lanka will have a Real Life “Charlie” Chaplin, entertaining the political scene.

President should remember, One cannot Please or Fool, All the People All the Time!”

Let me go on RECORD that a CHANGE of name of Sri Lanka to “Sinhale”, “Sinhela” or “Hela Diva” or any other name is TOTALLY UNNECESSARY.

This is just MORE MISCHIEF in the making, geared to INCREASING COMMUNAL CONFLICT in Sri Lanka!

These are the same MISCHIEVOUS projects that “Facebook” Lorenzo and his REGIME CHANGE team, out to destroy what we have BUILT in Sri Lanka since independence, ESPOUSES!

Is there a NEXUS …. a BACKDOOR connection??

LankaWeb Moderator: Please take NOTE of this EMERGING NEXUS!

“Why did President Maitreepala Sirisena, donned an extra WasteCoat, Indian style?”

Someone in Lankaweb said this a bullet proof jacket, I believed it. (Possibly a one used by Modi , donated to him. Look a bit oversize.) Perhaps we must excuse him, as he reduced 4000 royal guards to 1000.

  3. LANKAPUTHRA Says:

Prof, excellent, but no one wants to know how the election was won or the role the Election Commissioner rigged it. Who opened the back door (Rigged the ballot boxes to get 70% of Killinochchi votes)? Prof, be extremely careful CBK and Ranil are very powerful. Prof, my suggestion is Sirisena President (that is how he wants to be called). should wear a THAMBI THOPI when he visits EASTERN PROVINCE. When he visits NORTHERN PROVINCE he should wear a white turban like the Tea Pickers KANKANAMA. When he visits KANDY, he should wear the NILAME HEAD DRESS. WHEN HE VISTS the rest of the country he should where a BASE BALL CAP with RANI.W and CBK photographs. Now lets talk about Mahinda Deshapriya. What was his real name before he changed it to Deshapriya? He starts his news conference with a HA.HA.HA We are gathered here….etc. What does this tell you he has choreographed the whole presentation beforehand.

Some points of interest that might be of use.
India is the official name for the world while Bharata is the local official name. The name India evolved from Hindu the land of Hindus.
Sri Lanka is the name used by different people in the Indian sub continent. Remember there was no India until the British made it from a lot of different countries in the subcontinent,
The island was known as the land of Sinhala people to all other people in the world and the name Ceylon evolved from these names. It was a fitting name and acknowledged the history and the people in the island who were the sole inhabitants there before the mass invasions by Indians under the British guns since 1972.
It was part of the Indian conspiracy to change everything in the island and they are succeeding like they have done In other colonies. Change from Ceylon to Sri Lanka is part of that and done by Solomon West Ridgeway Dias Bandaranaike.

This time Independence celebrations was the most ugliest ceremony I ever witnessed in a long time with our President of Sri Lanka wearing Modi’s suit and addressing the Sinhala nation in front of the world and local guests. It’s a shame for him to wear a thing like that as a Sinhalese when we have our own Sinhala dress which was worn by many of our leaders in the past. They wore it with pride even when they addressed the UN or any other world Forums.

These trio (MY3/CBK/Ranil) looks very funny to me. From the day one they walk in three different directions. All three were damn liars in the first place. They do something and deny it in the next second. We do not know which one is telling the truth because what ever they utter from their bad mouths are lies as far as I am concerned. We are waiting to hear the truth and about our future and the future of the nation not to hear about few food items reduced to fool us. We want to know about the 13 amendment, about the position of North and East? Killing of a policeman in Vaunia and so many unanswered questions. We don’t see any progress in the economy or the development work in progress. We don’t see anything new except talking for revenge and blood of the previous regime. High time we stop all this dirty politics and start do business as one nation ,one peoples. Do not try to sell our country to outsiders. We have true sons and daughters of Mother lanka who are genius enough to make it wonder of Asia.

  6. NAK Says:

The last time an Indian leader handed a bullet proof west was when Rajiv Gandhi handed his personal west to Pirabharan.
Look what happened to both of them.

  7. Fran Diaz Says:

    Agree with Ranjit.

The dirty politics are distractions to upset the public and in the meantime park the war boats in Trinco ?

To focus on Prof. Hudson’s title ” Change-of-Country Name? Responses!” is the wisest question within the still continuing
threats to the sovereignty of the island country. Naming the island as Sri Lanka which is a nickname is like inserting a nickname in a property or land deed of the legal owner making it vulnerable to fraudsters. If SL is actually corrected to its pre-historic name of Heladiva or at least Sinhele’, plus making all non indigenous settler communities too to be naturalized Hela or Sinhela national citizens is the justifiable and permanent solution to this gross violation of the Hela/Sinhela national sovereignty of the world’s only Hela/Sinhela national country. Although, this universal political principle is understood by all other nations of the world; the Hela/Sinhela nation has been brainwashed by most of the past and present party-political leaders who are traitors due to ignorance or agendas. My salutations to Prof. Hudson for raising this vital question.

  9. Nimal Says:

Ceylon is good enough name to unite the people as one nation, sounds posh too like drinking blue whisky or driving a Jag.
