    You cannot forget or erase a great leader from the political map so easily. He is the greatest of them all. Ma-hinda for MAHINDA for ever. He showed his statesmanship to the world by attending the ceremony. Long live my President Mahinda Rajapksa.

  2. Ratanapala Says:

    In our eyes Mahinda Rajapakse will remain as the Ever Green President of Sri Lanka. His presence and stature dwarfs that of others. May he live long! May the Triple Gems Bless him in all his future endeavours!

  3. Christie Says:

    Let us unite and stand up to the Indian Empire.

    I like to think that President Mahinda Rajapakse by his behavior has shown that he meets all the criteria described by Rudyard Kipling to be a man. May he live long and shine as an example of the finest man that Sri Lanka has produced. A king of kings, he will go down in history like Dutugemunu and Parakramabahu.

    By Rudyard Kipling

    If

    If you can keep your head when all about you
    Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
    If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
    But make allowance for their doubting too:
    If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
    Or, being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
    Or being hated don’t give way to hating,
    And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise;

    If you can dream – and not make dreams your master;
    If you can think – and not make thoughts your aim,
    If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
    And treat those two impostors just the same:.
    If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
    Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
    Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
    And stoop and build’em up with worn-out tools;

    If you can make one heap of all your winnings
    And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
    And lose, and start again at your beginnings,
    And never breathe a word about your loss:
    If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
    To serve your turn long after they are gone,
    And so hold on when there is nothing in you
    Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on!”

    If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
    Or walk with Kings – nor lose the common touch,
    If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
    If all men count with you, but none too much:
    If you can fill the unforgiving minute
    With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
    Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
    And – which is more – you’ll be a Man, my son!

    Agree with Cerberus !

    Mahinda Rajapakse is a Man for All Seasons too ! He has weathered the good and bad times with equanimity and patience, and played the roles given with greatness of Heart and Mind. A Great Statesman here – treasure and protect him.

    May he Live Long and Prosper !

    When I see the UNP members in suits it makes me think their allegiance is to the British Raj. All of them are real brown Sahibs. I would like to suggest that we introduce a dress code for the parliament. I do not know what is wrong with the simple elegant national dress that President Mahinda Rajapakse and President My3 wear. In my view people like Ranil W and Co look so ridiculous in their tie and suit in that culture and very hot climate. In the photo where MR is striding along in his national dress and RW is in his suit does not MR look majestic and noble compared to RW? I hope My3 can introduce this dress code. Otherwise these guys in suits feel that they are so superior to the local men in national dress. It also sets a standard the rest pf the nation will strive for. Unconsciously the people of the country will pick up the message that one is a smart and westernized only if one is in a suit rather than a national dress. It also makes then unconsciously reject all that is truly our heritage. This is one of the reasons why the young people of Sri Lanka especially the Colombo crowd try so hard to be more Western than the westerners them selves.

    What is HEMA PREMATHASAN doing with MR??

    She has dressed for a FUNERAL. Appropriate.

    Run-nil’s HUSBAND is Maithree. Wife also Maithree!!!

  8. Kumari Says:

    RW – the great CB Robber, MS/RW – the greatest election robbers.
