Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe’s comment on Easter Sunday suspects (video)

UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe states that since the 19th Amendment to the Constitution established the commissions, the suspects of the terrorist attack on Easter Sunday were quickly arrested with the assistance of the National Police Commission.
He made this statement participating at a meeting held today at Sirikotha party headquarters with a group of lawyers representing the party.

We would appreciate if our defense secy and AG give a pep talk to the lawyers, especially to those budding ones in the law college also on how they should perform their services.
They together with corrupt judges and registrars who fix the dates for hearing cases has done the worst damage to the country by letting the criminals off the hook. The situation is so bad that one CJ said publicly that he sent the man who should have gone to welikada to Rajagedera. The pathalaya and the drug problem that destroy the country completely are the results. The 4/21 massacre is also a result of this precarious situation; nobody is afraid to commit any crime.
Perhaps a Bastille Day is what is required to correct the situation.
