The image of Sri Lanka as a leading cricket playing nation is now heavily bruised.  The team cannot go down any further   the cricket lovers no longer consider Sri Lankan team as competitive.  The team in the past was not balanced.  If the batters deliver goods, then bowlers fail and vice versa. The lack of batting partnership could be  identified as the main cause for batting failure.  It is unfortunate to notice that in rare instances where some partnership develops, then our batters find another way of getting out, famous RUN OUT.

SLC  board is facing severe financial crisis.  The ODIs between Sri Lanka and India has been scheduled as day night matches.  We cannot understand the logic, playing matches under Covid Bubble, why not play it as a day match and save millions of dollars of power costs!

We hope Dasun Shanaka will lead the team forward, it is important to retain him, barring any unavoidable circumstances, until the next world cup.  My team for today’s match picked as follows:
