Bandula Kendaragama Investigative Independent Dam Safety Consultant
Dear Editor,
I wish to introduce myself by sending my CV.
As far as casualties and damage to personal property and infrastructure facilities as a result of opening of spillway gates is concerned, actual technical details are not given in most news items posted in the social media. Given that I have worked in Kothmate dam during the construction stage (1980-1985) and worked in 12 countries since migrating to Australia in 1989, it is my paramount due to submit to you for you to publish in your esteemed newspaper. The reasons for heavy flooding are well explained in the video,
ගංවතුරට සැබෑ හේතුව – The real cause of the flood;

Also, I wish to attach two letters sent to the Secretary (Irrigation) with regard to the same incident.
I kindly request you to publish an article based on the facts given in the video and two letters.
Should you wish to clarify any issues, please contact me
Yours sincerely,
Bandula Kendaragama
