Chandrasena Pandithage …. Thank you for looking at this. I myself have not verified the data you presented, but those increases in the number of REJECTED VOTES are TRULY ASTOUNDING!
Already, the Elections Commissioner and the so called foreign “Election Monitoring Agencies” and even the IGP are singing Hosannas and whitewashing the Election Results as PERFECT!
This is in addition to the ILLEGAL Election Day INTERVENTIONS by the highest official in the land … the IL Presidente’!!
I think if all of this is TRUE, it SMELLS TO HIGH HEAVEN, and the UPFA should demand an INVESTIGATION and FILE FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS cases at the SUPREME COURT on ALL of these issues!

It is good that MR has not left politics entirely as wished by the Yahap, no doubt. We wish him the very, very, best in all his endeavors.
However, we have to record our great disappointment on the manner in which the present Yahapalanaya conducts the affairs of the country, including the Election. The present President has made moves which are contrary to the Constitution of the SLFP & the UPFA, as well as the Constitution of the country, among a host of other anti-Constitution Moves such appointing a PM who did not enjoy the confidence of the Parliament & the People. How disappointing to say the least. One wonders how other Democracies in the world would handle such a problem.
One also wonders how the present Exec PM, Ranil W., who made excessive promises to the Tamils re a Federal state and privatisation of Water in the country as a necessity (to raise taxes (?)), and promises to move village folk to new areas (Pokuru villages), can win any election, unless it was cheated. He has also brought down the Economy of the country via
the Central Bank scam, a major set back to the country, and then protected the various scoundrels.
As much as Mahinda Rajapakse achieved great steps forward in the Economy & infrastructure after removing the terrorist organisation, the LTTE, the Yahapalanaya has taken the country backwards, both in the Economy and self respect. No wonder the people are shocked at the results of the last Election ……
Yes, we miss MR as leader of the country.

WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR STATEMENT OF COMMITMENT TO STAY IN AND DEFEND THE NATION AND PROTECT SRI LANKA’s DEMOCRACY AGAINST THE EFFORTS BEING LAUNCHED BY PRESIDENT SIRISENA ET AL. TO UNCONSTITUTIONALLY SPLIT THE SLFP THROUGH, BLATANT INTERVENTION IN MID-ELECTION….CLEARLY UNDEMOCRATIC AS WELL AS FOUL, AND NOT WITHIN THE BEST PRACTICES OF DEMOCRACY.
WE HOPE THAT THE LEGAL PROCESSES WILL LEAD TO A JUST & FAIR DECISION.

Next time PLEASE promise to SCRAP the 13 amendment that made SL a FEDERAL COUNTRY (without the name). NO UNITARY country has CHIEF MINISTERS! If you do that, 7.2 million would have voted for you and your UPFA colleagues.
