In Memory of the Fallen Ranaviruos at Mullaitivu, July 16-26, 1996

As we watch the war-heroes of the Sri Lankan Nation being crucified at the UNHRC in Geneva, not only by the Tamil Eelamists who waged a brutal take-no-prisoners war in Sri Lanka and now posing as wailing victims, but also by our own government officials aiding and abetting those racist separatists, let us take a moment to reflect on the price our war-heroes paid in flesh and blood to preserve our Motherland in the Battle of Mullaitivu in 1996.

In 1996, the Government of Sri Lanka led by the then President Chandrika Bandaranayake Kumaratunga, and the Armed Forces by her uncle the Defence Secretary Anuruddha Ratwatte, did not equip the Sri Lanka Armed Forces with the means and the able leadership necessary to defeat an enemy who had acquired all the trappings and power of a conventional military to confront the Nation’s Armed Forces on an equal footing!

Consequently, our brave defenders died fighting heroically by the hundreds, over 1,600 total, many of them captured and executed by a genocidal enemy that violated all humanitarian norms of war!

Today, that very same ex-President is busy orchestrating the creation of various “human rights” establishments in Sri Lanka to crucify the Armed Forces that she FAILED TO LEAD TO VICTORY during her tenure as President.

In collaboration with a new captive puppet President she helped raise to that high office, a PARA-GATHI AGA-MATHI she herself had previously fired for attempting to GIFT an Eelam to the LTTE, and a TREACHEROUS Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera, she is busy on her project to enslave Sri Lanka to the UNHRC, and devise a new Constitution that would hand over to the Tamil Separatists through subterfuge in PEACE, the Eelam they had failed to win by murder and mayhem in WAR!

The same set of TRAITORS on both sides of the political fence are now arrayed against Sri Lanka to divide and destroy her, and crucify her heroic defenders!

Patriots of Sri Lanka!

Pause a moment to view the Battle of Mullaitivu as it unfolded in the videos below, and to assess for yourself the difference between the means provided to the Armed Forces by two different governments, one to wage the disastrous Mullaitivu battle in 1996, and the the other to wage the victorious battles in 2009 only a few kilometers away from Mullaitivu. The yawning gap could not be wider!

The fault for the disaster in Mullaitivu in 1996 does not fall on the heroic rank-and-file soldiers, sailors, airmen and police who fought bravely and died by the hundreds in that battle, but on those who led them at the very top of the military and political pyramids, without giving them the means and the leadership to win!

Those means and able leadership remained to be given by a future PATRIOTIC government that would win the hearts, the minds and the TRUST of those who actually fought. UNWAVERING PATRIOTISM made all the difference!

Therefore, our task today is to RESTORE such a PATRIOTIC government to our Motherland! The memory of our thousands of honored dead at the Battle of Mullaitivu in 1996 demand no less!

“When you go home

Tell them of us and say

For your tomorrow

We gave our lives today….”

Ananda ! thank you for this exposure of facts.

    ———-

Some observations of the CBK times :

We do not think that CBK as Prez had the political will or the ability to end the war.

It was still the Cold War times and it is possible that she followed the diktats from abroad …. keep the war at low level intensity and not finish it off, for reasons best known to them.
CBK’s father & her husband were both assassinated (for political reasons) by Sinhala protestors.
We ask : Was she emotionally fit to be President of Sri Lanka ?

During the latter part of the CBK Presidency, Norway the Peacekeeper, had the attitude of ‘both sides must be equal’ in the civil war in Lanka. Strange game of life & death.
Norway is not a member of the EU, and free of EU Rules & Regulations.

We wonder what CBK would have done if some of the western countries went and requested to her to stop the war when the LTTE was cornered at last in East by the Armed Forces under the MR govt.
We are very thankful that it was the PATRIOTIC MR govt in power at that time.
We are so thankful that the MR govt ended the war with the LTTE. This thankfulness is for both Sinhala & Tamil communities.

OUR VERY SPECIAL GRATITUDE TO THE ARMED FORCES OF SRI LANKA !

They MUST be freed from FALSE accusations of war crimes !
In their honor, we MUST create, as Ananda says a PATRIOTIC Govt for Sri Lanka.
In their honor, Sri Lanka MUST ALWAYS HAVE A PATRIOTIC GOVT IN POWER, where ALL citizens must have a sense of safety, security and wellbeing, and the Environment is cared for as well.

  3. Ananda-USA Says:

    Dear Fran,

Thank you for your CONSISTENT support for our war-heroes through the decades past, and your shining example of PATRIOTISM!

  4. Fran Diaz Says:

    Way to Go, Ananda !

We must thank YOU more for the great support and encouragement you have given for Justice & just causes in Lanka, night & day, month after month, year after year.

If we aim high, we can get at least most of the work needed to be done in the right way ….. !

    Jayawewa !
