The yeoman service this Thera has done to bring this to the notice of the authorities over the years is well known. He has been lambasted many a time very unfairly by many but no surprise if you find the supporters of such extremists behind this public criticism. The politicians in power always showed a blind eye to his complaints and rather were happy to project him as a militant Bhikku to stay in power with the support of such extreme groups in their alliance.
