(Corrupt environmental agents and murders taking place as a consequence; a true tale of the genre)

25th January 2005 was an ordinary day in the Kandyan hills, considering the time of the year. The monsoon was at its tail end. The sky, a slate gray overcast, suspended over the low horizon. The unpaved muddy lanes, after weeks of inundation, were quite grueling to negotiate.  The time, just a couple of hours past high noon.  A slight drizzle was dousing Palle Gededra Premathilaka’s hair as he made his way forward gingerly. The Gusty winds were playing among the tree tops without a let up since day break.  In spite of the unpleasantness of the gale, Premathilaka deftly ambled along to the rock quarry, where he was employed, in order to collect his weekly back pay.  

The quarry was operated by one Weerakoon Banda of Hapugaskasmulla wattha, who resided on the periphery of Teldeniya. Now Weerakoon was also a simple, unlettered peasant, driven by the basic human needs. He was keen to secure his survival, while discharging the minimum of work in return. In the past he used to compensate his small income by doing some unlawful hunting on the side. This he found was not sufficient to maintain his life style by the year 2005.  But then the things were not so costly either in the past. Now In order to get on with his life, he, through bribery, had secured a license from the local corrupt environmental agent to operate a rock quarry.

Naturally Weerakoon hadn’t the foggiest notion as to the dynamics of earth slips, earth slides or anything of what is commonly known in the mining circles as soil mechanics.  He was totally unaware that there exists a subject called mining engineering. Yet we must assume that he was provided with the basic information as how to run a secured mine by the issuer of the license, before such a document was approved. But I have grave doubts, if the environmental agent relayed to him the far more vital piece of information; if a mishap was to occur while operating the mine, then it is the agency’s responsibility according to the National Environmental Act (No. 47 of 1980). And especially as these agents have issued licenses to benighted and uneducated individuals, the agency was directly responsible for the loss of life and limb, while operating such mines.

But Weerakoon gave tuppence to the impacts his mining activities had on the environment, or the dangers it posed to the life and limbs of the public. Indeed why should he care! Hasn’t he paid good money through a huge bribe to secure a license to quarry for rocks?  Why should he worry about the destruction of the ecology or annihilation of ground water systems or the loss of life and limbs? 

Indeed he was as much enlightened to the dynamics of rock quarrying, as a new born babe just out of his mother’s womb. His main business being, to dynamite the rocky surfaces and blast it to smithereens, and collect as much material as he possibly could.

Now on the date in question, the top soil was soaked to the saturation point as it has been raining cats and dogs the past days. So the mass of earth which was lying loosely on top of the balled hill top, due the incessant vibration and dynamiting was generating an extra heavy load on the quarry head. A disaster was ready to be triggered by just a whiff of extra thrust on the top soil.

Premathika was contented.  In that he was not unlike Weerakoon. His immediate thoughts were locked on to the bottle of arrack he was going to purchase. And he was going down town for that very purpose the minute he secured his back pay.

But his dream of filling his stomach full of alcohol was going to be an unattainable dream. For no sooner had he approached the quarrying site and stood leaning to the side of the vertical quarry surface, which been just dynamited, the hilly mass gave away, and buried him alive, under tons of rocks and earth.  It took hours of continuous digging using a machine at hand, to pull the Premathilka’s remains out of the debris. His pulverized body was not a pleasant sight for the curious peasants who by now have gathered to be associated with the unfolding history.

The police report of the incident is something only a Sri Lankan Police could be capable of filing. It merely declared under the caption: The cause of death; buried under a rock.  For its simplicity and factuality this report reached new heights. In fact the report defined the murder of Premathilaka in such an inane manner, that it released the environmental agents issuing licenses, scot free, and expunged them of any responsibility for issuing a license to dolt such as Weerakoon, perfunctorily.  

Indeed I went through the Mines and Minerals Act No 33 of 1992; and its PART III specifically. This deals with ‘HEALTH, SAFTY AND WELFARE OF WORKERS IN MINES’, which runs from sections 55 through to 62. Strange as it may sound, it does not offer a clue as to who is responsible in case of death or injury as a result of a collapsing mine, which the agency issues license to operate. In other words the Mines and minerals act and the environmental act has a huge gaping loop hole to creep through in case of a death to any personnel as result of a mining accident.

If the license does not protect the public and the personnel then why is the necessity for the environmental agents to issue license at all? They shirk responsibility for any mishaps, or damage to life or limb while operating a licensed mine. They do not take responsibility for destruction of ground water aquifers in the area or noise pollution.  But on the other hand, Weerakoon definitely had a good use for his license, for he obviously could not be charged with murder of premathilaka, for he was holding a valuable  ‘license to kill’.

What it all boils down to is; that if people own such a ‘licenses’ they can then get away with murder of an innocent member of the public by calling it a misadventure while mining. No need to insure the mine for failure as is practiced in a normal democracy, no testing the level of knowledge or expertise of the license holder. Only some substantial amount of money had to change hands and one is the owner of a ‘license to kill’.

Indeed the environmental agents pocket the max amount of dollars and issue licenses, as in the case of Weerakoon. No wonder Weerakoon did not bother with niceties or conventions or secured the mine from collapsing. Hypothetically if we assume that it was a minister’s son or Presidents close relative that met with death as a result of such ‘slip shot’ mining, would these corrupt agents slipped away so effortlessly. But then ‘we are all equal before the law, but obviously some are more equal than others’.

No wonder the police wrote a simple report as they routinely do in such cases. For they did not have any power to charge Weerakoon or the environment agent who issued this license, as they were protected by the Mines and Minerals Act No 33 of 1992.

This is not a unique case of murder through a mining mess-up, but is the procedure of many such murders in the Kandyen hills. 

The Principal of the local Ranmulla School, (Udispattuwa) complained to me the other day that he was helpless; when the pupils came to school and when they left after school, for he was very concerned for their safety as they had to pass three dangerous quarries. In fact the school couldn’t function normally due to incessant noise pollution due to the rock quarry operations and he was personally getting deaf by the blasting and dynamiting day in day out.

 By issuing these licenses the greater Teldiniya environment has been brought down to its knees. The ground water has vanished and now natives have to walk miles for their drinking water. They cannot grow anything for no sooner the rain is over; the rain water also has dissipated due to the destruction of the ground surface. The Kandyens once bountiful heritage is disappearing as we speak and turning it in to a veritable desert. The Victoria can hardly produce any electricity as there is no water, as the water sauces has been destroyed through dynamiting. Schools cannot function due the noise pollution. Now we find sudden deaths due to mining calamities of the local yokels are an added cross for them to carry. All this due corrupts and salaried watch dogs of the environment. For while they are collecting their pay check they are also raking in, vast sums issuing licenses to destroy the nations eco systems and these licenses also give them a right to kill.

We have won battle over the racist terrorist. But by far a greater war is looming if we are stop the rape of the country by corrupt environmental agents. Sri Lankans should act now to save the nation from these paid agents using tax money to make more money by flouting their positions while raping the country. In this concrete instance the issuer of the license should be indicted for blatant corruption for issuing licenses for murder.

Greater Teldeniya villages such as Udispatuwa, Ranmulla, Rankanda, Udawela, Pahurugolla, etc., have blood on its plains and mountains. The environment of these villages the last four years has been battered and its landscape systematically turned into a veritable desert. Indeed thousands of acres of its magnificent bio-diverse vegetative canopy, exotic animals and plants, natural aquifers and other sources of water have been systematically violated. Agricultural lands (e.g., cash crops, cocoa, pepper, vanilla, mangos, avocados etc.,) of the Central Highlands are being literally eradicated as we speak.

 The reason is palpable; its surface and ground water is draining off as soon as the rains touch the ground as a result of the on going rock quarrying activities. And during the drought intervals the existing trees are dying in large numbers as no water is retained by its roots due to such unrelenting quarrying. These areas which once fed the Victoria reservoir with a substantial amount of water are now incapable of doing so.  This in turn would effect the power generation the country needs badly.

 How has this appalling situation com to be?

 The Kandyan peasants who are residing in these areas are innocent and pretty backward. They are mostly unlettered and ignorant of taking up issues and defending their rights. Also they are utterly helpless and frightened of the rich and powerful outsiders who intrude into their life and float commercial ventures detrimental to their well been. So when a cancerous project is set in motion injurious to their environment, they are helpless to resists or protect their rights or their heritage.

  Indeed the situation is very similar to a cancer. A cancer starts with a single renegade cell, and then commences to multiply, and finally take control of the entire body before delivering it the coup de grace. This environmental degradation is similarly gathering momentum to encompass the whole of Victoria reservoir belt.

 How was the rape of this bountiful land initiated?

 It was covertly initiated by the corrupt agents of the environmental authority of Minister Campika Ranavaka. These watch dogs of the environment have been slyly issuing licenses for rock quarrying without first consulting the local populace as the law of the land dictates. Now greed of the rock quarry interest and the avarice of the environmental agents have merged, and their greed knows know limits.

 Bottom line is, these peasants now find they not only have to walk miles for their water needs, but  they also will soon loose their livelihood; for they are unable to plant any crops or grow them as they find the land deficient of water, for as soon as the rains hits the ground the water drains off and dissipates.

 Mining affects the environment and the society. Its related disruptions can significantly affect the physical environment in the form of contaminated surface and ground waters, changes in river regimes and water tables and the destruction or loss of habitat for certain species. Mining also affects the local communities through the disruption of their livelihood activities. In order to mitigate these impacts, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) spearheaded several initiatives to cushion the effects of mining to the environment. The immediate impact of rock quarrying is:

 The vegetation and the roots of trees which conserve the water after a rain fall is shaken by the blasting and incessant vibration, hence the slow process of release of water by the root systems is disrupted. In such a manner its water retention powers shattered and the vegetative regeneration aborted.

Also fissures caused by the dynamiting and the subsequent vibration activity breaks down the water retaining systems of the top soil. Hence the water just dissipates and seeps out as soon as it touches the ground.

Indeed the incessant vibration due to the quarrying process of the material also helps filter the water out and hinders the roots from being able to store the water. The immediate results are:

1. Due to dynamiting and systematic vibration of the hills the acqufirs are destroyed and water retaining roots and top soil is shaken, that the roots water retention abilities or conservation of the water it needs is disrupted. So no rain fall means, the trees and plants simply wither away and die.
2. Erosion of soil after heavy rainfall is also a resultant of such activity.
3. Lack of air pollution measures as no provisions are made for dust control or restoration of sites, affect the air and bring terrible diseases to man and beast that inhabit these areas.
4. Vibrations/noise pollution resulting from use of explosives in blasting disrupts the pollination related activity. And the pollination processes are disrupted that fresh vegetation is suspended.
5. No provisions are made for dust control, noise or restoration of sites.
6. No environmental or ecological studies have been developed before initiating these quarries.
7. No solution has been taken in connection with land degradation as a consequence of washings and sludge disposal, as well as abandoned quarries.
8. Lack of modern tools and equipment makes matters worse.

At the moment an estimate of over 10000 families are adversely affected. But that is just the beginning.  Under this ruthless mining activity the cancer will keeps multiplying and the place will soon be like a war torn area. Unless it’s brought to an immediate halt, the forests plains and hills of the Central Highlands which has existed thousands of years will be lost and in time would come to disrupt the Victoria energy production itself. 

While Hon. Minister Champika Ranavaka is preaching to the world how to protect the environmental and what remedies should be initiated. His corrupt agents are raping the environment and minting money through the rape of the nation’s wealth. The very people who were paid salaries to look after the environment are in fact helping destroy it by joining the ruthless and unethical miners. Indeed asking environmental agents to look after the environment is like asking the fox to look after the chicken coop.The over ridding fact seems to escapes the Hon. Minister. The Buddha’s first act upon gaining enlightenment was; he did not go out to pronounce to the world, his findings. What he did instead was he approached the Bo tree to give thanks for the shade it provided in his long quest for knowledge. That’s the reason every Buddhist temple has a Bo tree, and the devotees pour water to its roots. But no Buddhist temple that I know of has rock quarrying in the temple. Naturally; for indeed it is extremely harmful to the environment, and an adverse effect on the creatures subsisting in it.

The writer begs the concerned people such as geologists, environmentalists and hydrologists to come forward and aid us to bring these corrupt environmental ministry agents to book and defend the country from rape and violation of our beautiful heritage. If not in time this cancer will engulf the whole nation. We call upon both national and international environmental watchdog agencies to aid us fight these corrupt environmental mafia agents and save this wondrous Victoria heritage from rape. From hindsight, 1999 year was an ill-fated one for Lanka. That’s when; the Norwegian Dy. Foreign Minister Vidar Helgersen surfaced in Colombo, and offered Norway’s unstinted support to the natives, so they can resolve their problems. Even if the locals had an inkling of their real intentions, they would have rejected help from these ‘Norwegians bearing gifts’. But the inhabitants were naive and unworldly at that stage, to grasp UD’s ulterior designs. During the interregnum of the so called ‘peace facilitation’, no ‘peace or stability’ was to be found in the Island, but a cycle of suicide bombings and assassinations.

 Natives discovered soon enough that UD was working to a specific ‘game plan’ and was striving to get the Island invaded and made redundant. But Sri Lanka had true friends also, such as China and Russia; hence averted being dismantled. Due to their abysmal ignorance and lack of insight, Lankans paid an enormous price in men and resources for three decades. Lessons small democratic nations should learn in order to avoid such mine fields.

 (Strangely the information of the conspiracy to establish an Eelam in Sri Lanka comes to us by a round about route. One Stephen Long of Los Angeles writes that ‘An exclusive private meeting that was held in the early 1980’s in Sacramento, California, has recently come to my attention. This gathering of approximately five hundred wealthy, influential Tamil expatriates from around the world charted the course for the LTTE, and developed a strategic plan for using it as a vehicle for establishing a Tamil homeland.’ Unluckily for Lankans that the ‘By proximity and by opportunity, they focused on Sri Lanka as the place where they felt they had their best chance to fulfil their nationalist ambitions.’ Even of more insidious, ‘Religion played its part in this decision as well. The Catholic Church had long been the religion of many of the Jaffna Tamils, and a large percentage of the priesthood was made up of men of Tamil origin. This elite group in Sacramento knew they could get support from this ecclesiastical organization if they promised some sort of reciprocity as part of their end game.’ On the contrary I suspect that, Jaffna Tamil Catholics must have been the initiators of this game plan.  Origins of UDs covert involvement harks back to the early eighties. Tamil Catholic Church (synonymous with LTTE) and a coterie of Christian members in the Størtinget with a few top UD bureaucrats had come together and hit upon a plan for the dismemberment of Sri Lanka in order to create a homeland for the Tamils.

 The common Norwegians were never consulted or informed of their real intentions, but instead propagated that there was an ethnic conflict in the Island. Norsk media abiding by such a covert policy was whipping up antipathy against the Sinhalese majority in order to legitimise anticipated UD operations. (Obviously, if the Sinhalese had done to the Tamils, what Norway’s Christians did to its Sami minority, the Sinhalese would not be in its present predicament!

 Indeed the 1987 intervention by India in order to halt the Sri Lankan army’s attempt at eradicating LTTE terrorism in the Island, worked like a charm. I remember the episode well; the Indian invasion and occupation of the North of the Island was met with rapturous jubilation by the Norwegian news media, for they were certain that, Tamil Eelam was sure to follow.

 But the jubilation was short lived, for within a short interval India had sunk into a quagmire of its own seeking. Soon these liberators were doing battle with the ones they have come to save and protect, and dying in the process. Why did Indian peace keeping forces do an about turn, just three months into the invasion? Indeed terror bosses Velupillai Prabhakaran like most Jaffna Tamil Catholics, were of the opinion that, Indians were even inferior to the Sinhalese. Jaffna Tamils don’t mingle with the Indian Tamil plantation workers in the Island, for they do not wish to be contaminate their racial purity and wish to remain unadulterated. Rajiv Gandhi and his foreign office advisers neglected their basic homework, as to LTTE’s racist mental make up.

 The humiliating defeat taught India a lesson, what the LTTE racist terror war was all about. On the other hand, LTTE’s victory over the 6th largest army in the world, made Prabhakaran’s head even more swollen. Curiously, once jubilant Norsk media were studiously silent when the once saviours of LTTE were backtracking. Now I wonder why!

 Subsequent to the Indian debacle, the LTTE began bleeding the Sri Lankan nation seriously. This was part of the softening up process according to the ‘game plan’. Concurrently, propaganda machines in Norway has gone into an over drive, disparaging the unsuspecting ‘Sinhala Buddhist chauvinists’ for UD was conditioning the public for the next phrase of the operation. Bizarrely enough, while all this in effect UD was masquerading as a friend of Lanka, and providing it with aid. (In fact we realise this aid providing was a vital part of the plan to keep a hold on the corrupt politicians.)

 (Simultaneously they have bought journalists, media personnel, bureaucrats and politicians in Lanka. These fifth column elements were covertly working to chip away at the very foundations of the Lankan state, thus destabilising it from within.)

So the timing of Helgesen’s historical moment to land in Colombo was impeccable, in many ways than one.

 The murder of Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi by LTTE terrorist was fast fading from memory.

 Occupying the presidential chair in Sri Lanka was Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunge .( She was rotten to the core. Surrounded by a bunch of ‘yes men’ who were not second to her, in dumbness. Her regime was infiltrated by LTTE supporters and appeasers. While the strategically important bureaucrats have been bought and paid for by the UD. How un-presidential Chandrika was, can be summed up by a simple litmus test. For any appointment, the Queen kept those met up for the appointment, cooling their heels for at least three hours.)

 (Then that once upon a time gun runner of Jaffna, Jon Wesborg was occupying the Ambassador’s chair in Colombo.) Through those in the know; knew, he was really the LTTE representative in the capital.

 (Also we find the biggest quisling of all time) Ranil Wickremasinghe, has taken the centre stage in Sri Lanka, as its incumbent Prime Minister. (How can I so blatantly declare that he was a bigger Quisling than the original Norwegian name sake? Through a simple specification. Hitler appointed Quisling as he had occupied Norway, where as Ranil came to power through the will of the people who he totally betrayed. There is no better way to define this man’s incapability, then to quote that colourful definition by his nemesis, Wimal Weerawansa, “Ranil” he uttered in a very public meeting, “is incapable of getting anything done; just ask his wife!!” The public hooted with laughter for they knew exactly what was implied.)

 Then the man who wanted good Christian values implanted in the Norwegian psyche, Kjell Magne Bondevik, has somehow crept into the Prime Minister slot in Norway. He kept to those values when he invited the head of the LTTE suicide bombers V. Balakumar for a state visit to Norway. On 28th August 2004 the ‘Folketshus’ was choked up with the enthusiastic LTTE supporters, where this murderer lectured of the LTTE’s ‘values’ and the business of assassination.

 It was quite profitable I understood. Keeping to protocol, well wishing statements of Prime Minister Bondevik, Minster Erna Solberg and Special Envoy Solheim were duly read out. (I was stupid, I must admit, for I failed to grasp what the well wishers, wished for, kill as many ‘Sinhalese Buddhist Chauvinists’ as possible?) Balakumar himself was bumped off a few days back by General Sarath Fonseka’s men; (I presume you are not keen to relay any well wishes to the good General eh, Bondevik?)

 Instantaneously I grasped the direction of Helgasens thrust in the Island. I countered his propaganda ploy with a piece of my own, which I appropriately called ‘Are you ready to be taken for another ride’. For I have grasped their ‘Game plan’ and followed it up every step of the way. The Catholic action controlled English news in Lanka was UD friendly, and working in unison, hence blocked my article for some time. Finally on Sunday 18th of April 1999 I managed to get it printed in ‘The Sunday Island’ thanks to a fair minded editor. I pointed to the glaringly obvious fact there. “Owing a history of partisanship to this conflict, asking Norway to negotiate is like asking ‘a fox to mind the chicken coop’ I declared”. But Lankans were in a deep slumber and failed to grasp the subtlety of the message.

 2005 saw President Mahinda Rajapaksa taking the reins of power and the time was ripe to make a Kosovo out of Sri Lanka. Then something went drastically wrong with the UD bankrolled insurgency?

 Some of the main blunders were the attempts on the lives of Secretary of Defence, Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, Army Chief General Sarath Fonseka and the Pakistani Ambassdor misfired. UD found it a daunting task to buy over these enemies of LTTE.

 But then the over reach of the megalomaniac Prabhakaran and his Catholic Church sponsors went even further, which even UD found difficult to legitimise. This mass murderer was not just satisfied with one third of the Island, but wanted the whole of the ‘Sinhalese Buddhist race’ brought down to their knees. For Prabakren had a huge inferiority complex. And his Catholic Church inspired holy war against the Buddhist was not sufficient; he wishes to savour the Sinhalese blood. That’s when the global society found it appropriate to list LTTE as a terror organisation.

 Indeed one needs stretch ones imagination to gasp what these Christian mafia’s ulterior motives were! Was it eradication of Buddhism from the Island? The reason why, Christians such as Kjell Magne Bondevik, Arne Fjørtoft, Jon Wesborg, Vidar Helgesen, or Erik Solheim should be questioned as to whether they have pledged the Jaffna Tamil Catholic church (Synonymous with LTTE) to build a Tamil state upon the ruins of Lanka.

 In this connection the part played by Wesborge should be monitored carefully. A ceasefire Agreement between the Government of Sri Lanka and the Liberation Tamil Tigers of Eelam (LTTE) came into effect on February 23rd, facilitated by the Norwegians.

This document first signed by Ranil Wickemasinghe, then ferried by Jon Wesborg to the Vanni, where it got signed by the terror boss Velupillai Prabhakaran, has never been read except by this cycle of conspirators. Indeed the 25th July 2003 Sri Lankan Daily news discloses that ‘A close aide to the President said the secret document, as the President’s Secretariat came to know it, was quite different from the proposals which were disclosed by the press, of which the Government has briefed the President.’ Which means there are two documents; one for the public consumption and one how to break up Sri Lanka?

 Now Velupillai Prabhakaran fell in battle last may, and be sure he destroyed his copy. Ranil will not show his copy as Sri Lankans will be incensed by his betrayal. That leaves UD, the repository of all wheeling and dealing. I propose that Wesborg, should print his copy so the public be able to acknowledge his achievements. After all a fate the Sri Lanka nation may have hinged on this single document.

 ‘Ceasefire’ has evolved into a four letter word in Lanka!

Sinhalese Buddhist chauvinists were fast discovering that a ‘ceasefire’ was literally being forced down their throats. ‘Ceasefire’ was the invention by the ex-colonialist in order to cripple a democratically elected government and make it negotiate with the most ruthless terror organisation presently. This instrument was initiated a few weeks back, and touted around as a panacea for all the ills of the bleeding Island.

As usual Sri Lankans were caught with their ‘pants down’ by the peace industry’s new ploy.

Britain, France and Sweden jointly got the diplomatic ball rolling in order to initiate this ‘ceasefire’ for a covert third party. For this financer of terror in Sri Lanka has come to the conclusion that, if it was going to save face, they need a ‘ceasefire’ pretty quick.

That’s how this huge diplomatic sortie was set in motion.

Mr David Miliband and his French counter part Monsieur Bernard Kouchner must have had found lots of time on their hand, for they descended on Sri Lanka, before one could say ‘Jack Robinson’, to impose their version of a ‘ceasefire’.

Meanwhile ‘speaking on behalf’ of the ‘global society’, UN wanted a no hold barred cease-fire, from the conquering Sri Lankan army. Naturally this was purely to safe guard the besieged civilians the UN mandarins declared.

Then from the wilderness we hear grieved voice of Hillary Rodham Clinton. She was lecturing Sri Lanka on moral principles when dealing with IDPs. And pray what was the moral she had to deliver: a ceasefire and coexistence with the most fascistic terrorists in modern times. She put paid to her concerned opinion in such a manner, “I think that the Sri Lankan government knows that the entire world is very disappointed that in its efforts to end what it sees as 25 years of conflict, it is causing such untold suffering,”. What a wondrous thing I thought for she has received a mandate from the ‘entire world’ and was spokesman of the world! Obviously Sinhalese Buddhist war mongers were not an integral part of that world.

At this historic moment those murderous Tigers of Tamil Eelam, had declared a unilateral ‘ceasefire’. ‘Hallelujah’ these terrorists have discovered motherhood, peace and coexistence. Then why are they shooting everybody on sight in the no fire zone, especially those Hindu Tamil hostages who were trying to slip away from their clutches?

No evading the fact but these ‘peace industry’ nations was singing from the same notes.

Bizarrely enough, India while acting as if it wanted a ceasefire, but officially was not calling for one.

The odd man out was the arrogant Sri Lankan naughty boy government, which rejected such ‘frivolous’ talk of a ‘ceasefire’ out of hand. Lay down your arms GOSL declared to the terrorist, and then we will certainly have a ceasefire.

But the ‘ceasefire’ bandwagon had a momentum of its own. It was fast becoming a pain in the butts of the Sinhalese chauvinist. Can’t they be nice like Miliband, Kouchner, Clinton or indeed the mass murderer Velupillai Prabhakaran, and call a ‘ceasefire’!

Sri Lankans were perplexed by this so called ‘global society’. For they were quick to find out, what nations consists of this ‘global society’. Curiously, they were none other than an amalgamation ex-colonials which plundered the poorer nations of the global society for centuries. Now they have put on a new mantel. They were the ‘global policemen’ and defenders of the poor and destitute.

Surely weren’t China, Russia, Pakistan, and India or for that reason most of Asian and Middle East, a part of this global society. How is that once colonial, exploiters and rapists of helpless nations ended as the defenders of the underdog, while historically none-aggressive nations such as Sri Lanka have ended as ‘pariahs’ of the ‘global society’?

Yet the real global society was not taken for a ride so easily. Sri Lanka received all the help it needed before it reached the ‘Kosovo’ situation from ‘non-global society’!

Indeed this ‘global society’ mantra, just as this imposition of a ‘ceasefire’ in Lanka was fast becoming a huge joke. It is time the true ‘global society’ block ex-colonials pulling levers of power in the UN to get real estates to its Catholic Tamil uncle toms who helped them rape the innocent colonised nations in the past. They have already handed over to the Christianised Tamils’ Fiji, Mauritius and Madagascar, but the Sinhalese Buddhist chauvinist stopped them in their trucks from grabbing this pearl of the Indian Ocean.

Duplicity and bigotry of these do gooder ex-colonial Europeans can be exposed by their favourite past time; Israel bashing. These Europeans murdered millions of Jews who were residing in Europe. Such murders went on for centuries. Jews were not allowed practise any decent profession except money lending and washing up after them. It all came to a head in modern times when the ‘Aryan’ Germans sent them to be gassed.

For those surviving Jews in Europe, Lloyd George was keen to create a country so they could get rid of them from Europe. Not by giving a piece of Europe mind, but from a piece of Palestine; a land British colonials had a mandate as a protectorate from the League of Nations after the First World War. Rapacity of Milibands, Kouchners and Clintons of the past, is succulently expressed by
Chas Newkey-Burden in this manner;

“When my father was a little boy in Poland, the streets of Europe were covered with graffiti,” Jews, go back to Palestine,” or sometimes worse:” Dirty Yids, piss off to Palestine.”
When my father revisited Europe fifty years later, the walls were covered with new graffiti, “Jews, get out of Palestine.”

No wonder the Sinhalese Buddhist chauvinist took all such pontificating by the ex-colonials with a piece of salt. Strange thing is Sinhalese Buddhist Chauvinist has ended at the top of the heap again? So their must be a method to their blundering ways?

Historically Sinhalese ware hammered by the Tamil Dravidians for one and a half millennium, but survived. Then came the Catholic Portuguese, who reaped and plundered the nation for another 150 year starting 1505, ditto the Dutch for another 150 years. Then came the most devious of the bunch, the limy English. The last 150 years of devastation was caused by Milibands of the past, with express help from the Jaffna Catholic Tamils.
The greatest humiliation for the Christian and catholic powers in the West is that they could not eradicate Sinhalese Buddhist heathenism. They will never get that chance again!

Curiously something always props up to help the Sinhalese Buddhist along. This time around, US forces timed the bombing of Afghanistan and killing dozens’ propitiously for Lanka.

Saudi Arabia’s leading newspaper The Arab News informed in its editorial, “Stop killing and start caring about ordinary Afghans. Slaughtering them and then apologizing is contemptible.”

Now Saudi Arabia is friend of US. So the editor must have been in agony to pen: “It is simply not good enough for US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to “deeply” regret the slaying this week of over 100 innocent Afghan civilians, including some 20 children, near Farah in western Afghanistan. Nor is it acceptable for American commanders to repeat the mantra that they do everything in their power to minimize euphemistically named “collateral damage” – i.e. killing ordinary people who have nothing to do with the Taliban.

No Hilary, Sinhalese Buddhist doesn’t kill for the sake of killing unlike you and then lie through your teeth. Beside Afghanistan and Iraq is not a part of USA, unlike these Catholic murderers who were financed by the west in Sri Lanka.

So I thought I will do the right thing by the ‘global society’ and pack some of the cheap advice you and your friend has given us and send it right back to you. These will help you to solve your rebel problems.

First of all you must go for a ceasefire with these Taliban militants. You must declare a ceasefire and negotiate with them. After all they are fighting in the name of their God and for justice. There not terrorist but rebels defending their own country.

The entire world is disappointed Hilary by your inhuman actions in Afghanistan and Iraq. This may be your efforts to end what you see as your war since 9-11. But it is causing such untold misery and suffering. It is time you Miliband and Kouchner call a ceasefire and negotiate with these freedom fighters. And it is time you make use of your own advice, without spreading it around like manure.

Sri Lankans are totally wrong when they believe that Norway is doing the dirty work for the earlier colonial powers such as France and Britain or the imperialistic power, USA.

There also wrong if they believe UD is carrying out Norwegian common man’s intensions.

Then how should we view this push for a ceasefire? Is it to:
a.) Save the civilians?
b.) Save Prabhakaran and Puttu Amman?
c.) Bring peace to the Island.

Indeed it’s none of the above. The three stooges who are speaking on behalf of the global society or for that reason UN voices, gives a tuppence for saving Hindu Tamil masses in the North of the Island. This call for a ‘ceasefire’ is about something totally different.

Central figure of all this whining is that Mass murderer Velupillai Prabhakaran’. But it’s not about saving him.

The ceasefire lobby was pushing the GOSL for a ‘ceasefire’ but really pushing GOSL to blunder and take a military solution. In other words they are plodding the army that it attacks the LTTE leadership and annihilate them? Indeed these western hypocrites were aiming at killing two birds with a single stone.

They have found that Prabhakaran has done his job and now turned into a liability. He is sitting with all the damaging information and they don’t wish that this information should fall into the hands of GOSL. They need to bump Prabhakaran off before that happens. The worst scenario for them is to see Prabhakaran falling into the hands of the GOSL alive. Then their goose is cooked.

In other words this push for a ceasefire has nothing to do with a ‘ceasefire’ but something do with a Norwegian covert foreign policy gone haywire.

Can I prove my statement, Indeed I can!

The Tamils in an open debate on national Norwegian TV challenged Raymond Johansen (State secretary of the Norwegian Foreign office). They categorically demanded to know “What has Norway done for them”. And the LTTE placards outside the Parliament of Oslo made this question even clearer. ‘Norway has not carried out its pledges’ these screamed.

So what is this unwritten ‘understanding’ Norwegians have not fulfilled: evidently the UD bureaucrats has assured racist Catholic terrorist that would chop Sri Lanka and give them a big part of it as Elam to them. So now these LTTE jokers are demanding that Norway and the west keep their pledges hence send its forces to invade Sri Lanka.

One needs to stretch ones imagination to gasp what it’s all about. Norwegian common people also are unaware what the foreign office is doing. Their UD is government within a government. Christians such as Kjell Magne Bondevik, Arne Fjørtoft, Jon Wesborg, Vidar Helgesen, Erik Solheim should be asked if such a pledge was given to the Jaffna Tamil Catholic church (Synonymous with LTTE).

If the army bags Prabhakaran we will know the answers to all these secret pledges.

No wonder the Norwegian foreign office has began to back paddle. Hence set in motion a game of cover up. Central to this plan is the elimination of Prabhakaran. If General Fonseka gets this mass murderer alive, he will not only go down in history as the greatest general in modern times but the man who broke the neo colonial powers back. For no decent nation will trust or respect these do gooder, peace industry people any more.

In this connection Al Jazeera correspondent, David Charter posed the appropriate question from David Miliband and Bernard Kouchner. The question was about their governments duel policy on terrorism. One policy for Sri Lanka another for themselves in Iraq and Afghanistan. The silent of these two jokers speak volumes. What comes across more blatantly is; these foreign ministers were nothing but prostitutes of the Norwegian UD.
