Sri Lanka’s population declines for first time in 12 years
May 8 (AdaDerana) – Sri Lanka has shown a significant drop in annual birth rate while the number of annual deaths has increased since 2020, the Registrar General’s Department revealed. President calls on opposition to help safeguard Sri Lanka’s agreement with IMF
President Ranil Wickremesinghe called upon the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), the Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB) and other political parties to extend their support to the government in safeguarding the agreements forged with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
