Operation ‘Yukthiya’: Drugs worth over Rs. 850 mn seized in 14 daysSri Lanka Police together with the Police Special Task Force (STF) has arrested over 20,000 suspects over drugs-related crimes during the past 14 days of the ‘Yukthiya’ operation, says the Public Security Ministry. Colombo’s consumer price inflation increases to 4% in Dec.

‘Yukthiya’ operation: 1,400 more individuals nabbed with drugs
During the ongoing ‘Yukthiya’ operation, the security forces personnel have arrested over 1,400 more suspects on suspicion of drug peddling. Over 10,000 cases of dengue infections have been recorded in the month of December alone, bringing the total number of infections reported in 2023 to 87,078. Island-wide operation ’Yukthiya’ nets over 10,000 suspects
Colombo, Dec 22 (Daily Mirror) - A total of 10,456 suspects have been arrested as of today in the island-wide special operation 'Yukthiya,' launched last Sunday to curb drug-related and underworld activities. The Public Security Ministry said that 517 of these suspects are under further investigation with detention orders in place.
